I need to manage my money. Buying a gauge cluster off craigslist for $40. Change lights in it. Getting a battery. And I need to buy primer so I can fix dents and get some stuff ready for the whole paint job.

Problems from the other night:
1.) The needles on the gauge cluster do not light up. I need to pull the cluster anyways because..
2.) The temperature gauge and tachometer do not work.
3.) The clutch cable might need adjustment. Felt a little funny.
4.) It sounds like a fuckin' RICER.

I may need to change a few bulbs in the cluster, but I painted the needles orange and cleaned it up. Looks good. Figured out my gauge issues, going to make a new post for anyone else searching. Clutch is good to go now, the cable was a little loose. Still need to purchase a new muffler.

So I bought a battery for it today and got the gauges figured out. Hopefully will get more done tomorrow.

Wired in the CD player. It's one I had laying around, pretty nice. USB/Aux ports, along with Cd function obviously. AM/FM Radio, and memory card slot. The speakers in the car aren't bad, but I think i'm going to upgrade them anyways seeing as I have lots of them around.

I've been doing work on the hood and front fenders. The hood is just about perfect now, just need to sand it a little more and put the last coat of primer on it. My buddy is coming by on Tuesday to help me work on the dents. Hopefully will have all of the dents out of the car on Tuesday and a bunch of primer spots.

I think I may have to go buy some paint soon, seeing as how most of the car will be primered.

I'll post up pictures soon.

Thanks for the comment. :D

Well I got all the gauges working, so it's just a matter of the lights. I think i'm going to go buy a bunch of lights so I can make everything blue to match the car.

Cleaned the Teg. Took me two hours with the shop vac to get it clean.. it's disgusting how some people allow their cars to get. Still need to wash it with a rag and water..

And I noticed my timing belt kind of wiggles off and rubs up against the timing cover.. I need to get something to keep it on.

Well I sprayed some primer on the front fenders and hood, in an attempt to make it look partially done.
But the last ass hat to use my spray gun didn't clean it, so I have quite a terrible primer layer. Really uneven. Cleaning the gun overnight, I'll probably sand the hood a bit and spray it again tomorrow. If it turned out good I guess I'll bolt the front clip on.

Figured out the timing belt issue. The tensioner pulley was loose. Wish I would have caught it before it destroyed my timing cover and ruined the belt. Good thing I've only put ten miles on the car! :D

Assuming the front end is done tomorrow I'll snap some pictures and post up what it looks like now.
Of my original goals...

* Finish the engine build.
* Give the car a good paint job.
* Install the audio.
* Car Alarm
* Redo Gauge Lights
* More as I think of em'
I have accomplished the engine build, installing a cd player, cleaning up the gauges/painting needles, painting PART of the car..

I still need to buy new bulbs for my dash.. make my gauges and heater controls all blue to match the car..
Going to get my valve cover powder coated blue too. :D

I'm too anxious to drive this thing. It's killing me.

I have taken pictures of the car, but I haven't pained the bumper yet so it's kinda stupid looking.
Also, I didn't realize it until I tried putting the hood on, but my fender isn't in the right spot. I think that the drivers side is shifted backwards slightly.

It won't be winning any car shows soon, but it's together to say the least.

car looks good and glad to see that you didnt get screwed completely on the engine like i did when i bought mine used. I've learned you cant trust people and gotta see em run before you buy it

Yeah, I don't really trust people anyways, so anytime I buy a used car that "needs a tune-up" i'll make sure I can afford to replace the whole engine lol.

This car seems decent, I need to align the body panels a little more. (Mostly drilling and hammering required..) It's hard to get them to fit right after it was wrecked. Anyways, then I need to change gauge lights and put another muffler on it. I'm thinking a $20-30 cherry bomb just to replace the cat that's missing.

damn bro! its turning out really good, good luck on your project, hope to see more of it soon!
Thanks man. I was discussing how I can get the body panels to line up a little better. I think that I can get my drivers side fitting better, but i'm not sure it will ever be perfect, I'll have to do some cutting and welding. Luckily, I just bought a new welder so i'm really excited to try it out on the Integra lol.
