Baby steps.
You'll have it the way you want it soon enough.
And you did it yourself
Keep up the good work

Well thanks for the comments again guys. I appreciate it.
I just wish I was making a little faster progress!

I want to get this thing together. After it's running good then I can start my favorite part of the build.. customization!

I did the leak down test tonight. The results I found were..

Cylinder #1: 30% Leak
Cylinder #2: 35% Leak
Cylinder #3: 45% Leak
Cylinder #4: 45% Leak

Those are just rough numbers, I didn't care to be exact. I had air bubbles coming out of the radiator, and from what I read that means bad head gasket. Seeing as how my head is good, then it must be the head gasket. I'll remove the head and hopefully get a new head gasket tomorrow.

Keep It Clean
Get your head resurfaced..its good when changing the Head Gasket. And it ups the compression

Already did. I just need to buy a head gasket.

I'm tempted to go with the $50 one from Autozone cause i'm broke. But I just know that will bite me in the ass. :p

It is damn clean as well. :)

Hopefully by the end of the week i'll be able to put more money into it. I'm real short on funds so I can't put any money into the car right now.

Thanks. Hopefully soon enough i'll be able to put the engine back together. It's killing me not being able to.

I finally ordered the head gasket. It will be here tomorrow morning.

However, logging a new job tomorrow, so it will be pretty tiring after I get done telling the cutter what tree's go down, yadda yadda.
Thursday should be another workday, probably real close to finishing the job site.
Friday maybe a little clean up on the work, girlfriend coming home- going to visit.
Saturday, hanging with the GF. Been two weeks almost!

Sunday. Hopefully get around to the Integra. :p
Need to put the head gasket on, and fix a leak on one of the power steering hoses. (Caused quite a puddle under the car.)

I can't wait to get it running again, it has about 1/2" of dust on it right now lol.

Been a long while since I've updated. (Also since I worked on the car.) Been busy at work. >_<

Head is on. Timing cover back is on. Camshafts are in. Just need to torque the caps + finish the rest. I was planning to do it tonight but I guess I'll do it tomorrow. It's pouring rain here in Washington, and shops with metal roofs can get LOUD with no insulation haha.

I was also taking pictures for sort of a "How to" for the head gasket install, but my camera battery died. If I remember when I go back out tomorrow I will take more pictures and write something up.

Thanks for reading. :D

It's all together again.
Tried to start the car and my battery was dead. Hopefully I can get it charged tonight. -_-

So hopefully tomorrow I'll fire it up. :D

Well it's running.
Running weird, but still running! :D

It does that whole "surging idle" thing.. I can't tell how much cause my tach doesn't work.
I'll have to figure that out lol.

Also, my exhaust is obnoxiously loud. Straight pipes back to the stock muffler. Gotta get that fixed lol.

Noticed my timing was off by a tooth, fixed that. Need to adjust the valve clearance and then figure out the idle surge.

I'll keep you updated. :D

Took the car for the first drive. Well, down my half mile street and back.
I get REALLY anxious sometimes. Let me give you a little story.

When I bought the car it had a near dead battery. I charged it up and it held pretty well. Well I took the battery out for awhile when I was doing work to the head. It had lost it's charge in that time and I have not been able to get it to hold the charge. Well I decided I would jump start the car and drive it like that- but when I turn the headlights on the car dies. One of my headlights is burned out on the dim setting, so I was able to go like that. I got to the end of my driveway and hit the brakes..... and the brake light killed it.
So I went and got my Ford's battery and put it in the car. Needless to say it was quite big. If I had the hood on it would not fit lol. It sits probably two inches higher than the hood.

I took it down the street and I only noticed a few issues..
1.) The needles on the gauge cluster do not light up. I need to pull the cluster anyways because..
2.) The temperature gauge and tachometer do not work.
3.) The clutch cable might need adjustment. Felt a little funny.
4.) It sounds like a fuckin' RICER.

It has that annoying "bwwooooooooooong" noise. The cat was cut out and pipe replaced it.

Tomorrow:
1.) Buy a battery to fit it.
2.) Buy a muffler to silence it.
3.) Pull gauge cluster and fuck with it.
4.) Clean it.
5.) Possibly reinstall fenders.
