Justin my old unorthadox flywheel is for sale on drag right now. 100 bucks obo. its a $550 flywheel. thinking about picking it up. no interia loss feeling like others. I sold it 2 years ago for 300 bucks, someone else sold it for 150 I think.

well I got to my boys barn/garage today picked up side mount, trans mount, frame trans mount, rear bracket, torque mounts, front trans mount, stock intake pipe no intake box, couple other things I cant think of. I gave him 100 bucks. he said, woah woah woah were boys, here is 40 back, I just wanted 20 for some pizza. lol
So got home, my boy came over for a minute to help line up the empty case and empty block. Forgot the rear mount fuuuuuuu..... so go to find one to fully get the frame mount mocked up and welded back on the frame.
pushed the shell to the front yard to get the fender off. Pulled the driver fender off, pushed the wires into the cabin.
I think I have the ac bracket condensor figured out to not be showing.
PICS! yeahhh!!! lol

ok so its humid very humid and hot here today. so I quit after a little while, chillin out with the dogs inside the house.
But my boy came by yesterday and we got the mount welded in, worked the bay a little more.
covered the ac drier hole to just accept the drier unit, lined up the condenser brackets so they are on the side vs top of the radiator support. Noticed a kinked line on it as well. no big just tack that on the parts list.
Welded the firewall holes shut as well.
Got a couple more holes to weld shut, then lay some epoxy primer over the metal. I was just going to lay bondo down over bare metal. But using epoxy primer before will help protect the metal.
The passenger side brake line is being a bastard coming off.

lol, a little bit. oh no worries about the primer. I found my quart of it under the other paint cans.
Yeah some deals, just keep on searching and searching.
ordered my yonaka mounts. They have decent parts, I used their k swap axles in the teg, and in the hatch. mounts in another integra I replaced the engine in, few other things. Plus its easy to get in touch with them. Least the couple times I called it was.

Started sprinkling, we have a hurricane or somesheit coming through.
Bought a generator. wind blows, house looses power lol. I know I will want to get back at it once the storm has passed. not going to have no electricity hold me back.
generator spec sheet. definatley will hold me over.

just picked up some rattle can primer and hit some spots to cover the exposed metal, I took the picture then hit other areas so no worries. and hell no its not going to get painted like that. looks no where near where I want it to be.

Decided to not run a conventional power steering setup. going to be researching some options on electric setups.

just a little bit of surface rust came about. dont want to imagine what it would of looked like if I had not primered the bay

now bare with me, I have not played with bondo without friends for a while. so I mixed some up and layed it around some spots

got it sanded down a little, after the gym in the morning going to hit it up some more.

the mess of sheet metal in the corner is coming around I think.

heat gun was used to warm the metal up a little prior to laying on the bondo. from what I read the other day the metal should be about average room temparture for even and correct hardening and adhesion.
I also used it to continually allow slight heat to the drying process once bondo was laid down.
not crazy like BURN MUTHER FLUCKER BURN about a foot or so away maybe even more, just a nice even heat.
Finished up filling in some more holes, think I missed on one the shock tower though. was really anxious to get to smoothing out the bay. normal me, trying to rush s***.
going to drill out the rivets for the jdm plate, get a dc2 one from a friend I hope he has some laying around he can ship to me. He imports parts to the dominican.
case you forgot what that corner looked like before.

have valves soaking to remove the carbon build up.
got a deal lined up for some gsr rods with c5 pistons arp rod bolts. didnt want to split up one rod, so bought the set for the same price as a new oem c1 piston. and the c5 pistons are oem from what I was told, which is exactly what I wanted.
Went by justins house and got the water pump line and thermostat housing, hopefully its the correct one. We both were like ummm.... I think it is gsr. lol

Now I wanted to spray primer on the bay before I laid down the bondo but moving the other cars around by myself just was not going to fit in my want to do list right now. plus if I missed a hole I could tack it closed quicker then if it was already primed. I know it would happen.

really liking how the front frame is starting to come out.

Looks good man. Nice update.
Thanks
I have yet to decide on what brand of rings and rods to get. my boy has 2 engines he wants to rebuild and a couple of mine, stream line of engine rebuilding next week lol.

thanks, I think I will go with the stock green. Still debating though, between fed ex gray and green.
Fed ex gray is a darker gray then what I painted the hatch bay. We see. I wont make up my mind till I put the paint in the gun to spray to be honest.
If I stick with green, I will be getting top shelf. the paint I have now is trash.

Great Progress!!! Sick Teggy! Subscribed! :thumbs up
Thanks a lot

Got quite a bit finished up today.
filled in the indentations of the firewall primarily, did some more shaping on the frame, and shocktower.
Bought a harbor freight palm sander, 220, 320, 500, and 1k grit sand paper.
smoothed out most of the bay, and finished with piss can filler primer.
I have 3 spots to still feather out before I can say its ready for prime and paint. *crossing fingers* tomorrow maybe the day.
I am still not sure if I want to brake tuck it. Just so much freaking work to do that.

Dropped the short block off at the machine shop- bore, hone to oversized pistons. Clean the block, clean main caps, micro polish and mic the crank.
I checked the ring gap with stock piston rings and had a .036 gap. service limits are .020- .030 or .035 cant remember. Block mic'd at 80.94 average on the sleeves. so that was where the ring gap was coming from.
Checked the block deck level and did not notice before the sleeves for 1-2 junction had some signs of previous head gasket failure. Deck the block and call it good. I always do it anyways to be safe. So many head gasket jobs I have done in the past gets me very cautious.
Once I get the measurements from the machine shop I will be ordering my rings and bearings.
I will also be ordering new oem mains bolts. Reusing bolts in a engine rotating assembly creep me out.

Well on to the pics... not a lot of them.

valves I been letting soak... intakes salvageable, exhausts... hell no.

oversized .25 p73 jdm type r pistons on gsr rods with arp rod bolts

about it.
