So I think I've decided to clean up my engine bay. Cutting metal, boxing it all in. Welding holes, the whole deal. I want a super nice engine bay. I just need to strip it, which I am in no way excited to do.

I should take some before and after pictures.
If I ever get around to it, I want my bud to come help me with it but he doesn't want to haha.

So i'll be ordering some engine parts tonight. I might just put the rebuilt engine in with my old water pump and timing belt. (Only about 1,000 on the timing belt.) Run the same transmission and clutch until the engine is broken in, then just pull it after 2,000 miles when the turbo goes on.

Will be doing the wire tuck soon enough.

Plans for the next year:
Lowering 2"
Polyurethane suspension bushings.
Forged Pistons ( Lo Comp )
Eagle Rods w/ ARP bolts.
Head Porting.
Maybe cams, need to research into that a little bit.
Might upgrade the turbo from an eBay turbo. It depends how it works throughout the year.
One piece head lights
Clear tail lights
Body work and paint.
16" wheels, wider tires up front.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I built some cup holders to fit in the extra space below the dash install kit.

So I FINALLY got my block decked today. I need to clean it up and re-paint it. Then I will get two oil pans powdercoated along with the coolant tube on the back, motor mounts, valve cover and anything else I can think of.

I'll probably be too tired after work tomorrow, so I figure the day after i'll clean up the block. Might get the paint on it then.. if I do i'll post pictures. I should also post up pictures of the cup holders when I post the engine pics.

Painted the block. Brackets. Coolant Tube.

Still plan to paint the oil pan, valve cover and the intake manifold.

I will post them soon. I took some of the block earlier, but I will take some of the brackets. (Mind you they are still hanging while the paint dries.)

I will put the crank in tomorrow. Get the head ready to go together, finish painting everything up and install it on Thursday.

Duplicolor engine paint. I bought it at O'Rileys. I also painted my intake manifold and brackets with blue engine paint.

Thanks. The intake manifold looks pretty cool all painted up. Tomorrow I will have to reassemble it and take a picture. I need to go buy a new hone though, mine broke lol.

Same stuff I used on my head/block and transmission. There is a product called Alumiblast that I have been wanting to try out. One word of advice to ya, don't spill any sort of fluids on the paint, itll come off instantly. I got transfluid on my trans and it ate the paint away, had to touch it back up
