Use a screw driver to test it in place of the hood's bar. Should be able to see if the hood latch is operating properly.

That 1/2 of inch of travel is supposed to be in the clutch pedal not the cable. Also did you make sure the transmission was properly full after you reinstalled it?

Do you have the clutch cable adjusted properly? You turn the black nob around the cable its in the front of the transmission. Sounds like your clutch isn't disengaging. Its quite hard to pull the car out of gear when your moving unless you let off the gas.

I had a problem with my 90 integra, the fan wouldn't turn on for the heater / A/C. It turned out that it was the Ignition switch that had a bad contract in it so power wasn't being transferred. Also if I wiggled the key it would sometimes work. Also do your other accessories stop working too...
