thanks, I am so far liking how it is coming along.
like I said before I just wanted more experience and knowledge before I tackled this bay. Plus it being my daily I did not want to down it.
Which I got to hurry up on it, Sold the beetle tonight. Though I say I daily the s2k I really dont want to do that.
Guess I could swap the fox body's heater core and fix some issues in it, swap the rear end and get that back on the road. Fucking love that car.

Yeah when I got the s, one of the cars had to go.
The beetle has been around for like 6 years. been a great vehicle for her, and I. During the summer heat, couple weeks a year with 140 index, its not safe to drive without AC.
She sold it for less then fair value to one of gary's friends.
The jeep is just so bad on gas, the 4.7 technology is garbage. Less you have a car on a trailer and your towing at around 60mph. Josh and I recorded 21-23 mpg on the way back from miami towing that rhd ek coupe of his. Which was better then when we went down there not towing. LOL, 17mpg going there.

Damn sounds like my wife's Jeep! Haha! Thing sucks on gas mileage. Well at least you got some extra money to throw around. I just want to get my integra painted and a few other small details done and thats it! It will get done eventually. LOL!

ahhh yeah butch dikes!!!!
Very nice weather today, little bit of wind but it works in my favor
2k urethane build primer, its sandable and fills in slight blemishes one may have overseen during prep work.
I honestly like trans star ez sand primer more for the perfectionist. When I spray trans star it comes out with a ruffle to it feather sand out the ruffles and your base coat lays like glass.
BUT What I like about the high build is if your like I was today and said f a lot of that crap after a few minutes. It works great.
I picked up the paint a couple days ago. I went there just wanting stock clover green or whatever the hell the 94 SE integra color is. Then I was there at the store. Normal thought, crap what do I want...
medium gray it was. I really liked how the hatch turned out. Was a touch to light gray to be what I really wanted.

Pics!
High build primer

got the 5.slow chillin in the background lol

Base coat

Clear coat, used a norma build clear, not a high solid. 1 light coat, 2 wet coats, and 1 touch up light coat. I have a few runs normal spot for me by the ac drain line. I dont know why I always freakin have a run there.

YOLO!!!

To answer a question or a critic before it comes about, yes. I did completely forget about the hood prop holder plastic till after I layed the base coat and had non left.
I feel like an idiot for it, but wont be the last time I did into the bay.

That's the same color as the hatch bays right? Shit looks 10x as better than it did!

Haha! Go suck a dick!
Well thats just not nice little boy! LOL

Picked up some new to me non hid itr black housing headlights this morning from a friend. The favors I owe him just keep racking up.
I ended up sanding the clear back down in areas of the bay due to imperfections, and reclearing it.
The Firewall structual support bends had damn near no clear on the bottom of them, the shock towers had runs, just was not good enough for me. Even though I continue to state this will not be the last time I play with it.
The bends still have the stud bases, the shock towers are not completely smoothed on the inside, etc etc.

The brake booster and master cylinder what I figured out is from a ex. I layed it next to my 1" 96 r booster and master cylinder. I said, whoa, hold the phone. that booster is smaller then the r one.
Another friend of mine said to stick with the 15/16 and even try find a smaller one if I will be tracking it. We had a discussion about the different master cylinders in previous years.
Still debating. Need to ask him what he thinks about using a s2k booster/ master cylinder true 1" inside bore on my setup. Or do what I been saying let the wife figure out what she wants and adjust to her play time opinions.

Radiator un modified back to stock upper I mocked up along with the ac condensor and lines.
That is where the non hid lights came into thought. I mis estimated the lines clearance. If I remove the blue cap off the high quick disconnect I can make it fit... but dealing with refrigerant systems for a few years I know that is not a good idea.
I need a new line anyways for the one that normally sits on the front of the radiator to tuck it else where. Probably braze up a new line for the high side as well. I been a certified welder/ brazer for coming on 3 years, done more then a couple refrigerant systems. Not hard, and place up the street from me called hydraulic services has everything parts wise, and tool wise to crimp the lines required. Justin knows what I am talking about, surely his previous ship took things to them to repair previously. If not, the iwo was behind the times ;)
blah blah blah, been drinking so mutha freaking pics!

sanded re cleared

zip ties are for temporary use to line up hold down brackets, going different then what my boy and I were thinking about previously.

God I love new paint. its such a dov (depth of view) for the paint.
slim fan on the front of the condensor. just another thing to be out of the bay. probably get another one for the other side. Just need to measure out the size and do some searching.

I do realize my hid head light needs a lot more attention. daily status FML!
top is oem hid r, bottom is non oem hid r.
I never seen the difference.

before

after

how the non hid headlight fits :( oem hid ftw, eventually

line on and no headlight. I dont have enough hands, guess I could use my big white snake, but then again photobucket deleted a picture of me shirtless taking a picture of my window molding. To sexy for photobucket :p

didnt do to much to it this afternoon.
moved my fox off the slab, moved my civic, then lost motivation to move the integra on the slab.
Just drilled the 1 1/4" hole for the engine harness after removing the srs box platform.
unsleeved the ac harness.
put the heater core box back in.
sleeved the wires for the headlights and routed them through the crush rails.
Still pretty ugly looking. I used split loom sleeving, but it just does not look perfect.
decided on getting rid of the stock integra master cylinder, and getting a new booster and s2k master cylinder.
Not because omg its a .0009944757585" (not specific randomly typed numbers on the keyboard) larger bore then a 1" integra master cylinder. I am ordering a new one and why not.
I will also be ordering a s2k cmc for it.
parts list getting bigger. FMW (f my wallet)
Go register for classes tomorrow.

broke out the little d3100 nikon for some pictures

oh the things one notices when a decent camera is used.... LOL

called up top dead center, told them to get my bearings, rings, pistons, head gasket and head studs on order.
I been to back and forth with what to get. so just gave the measurments, and said call me when you have the total.
Cleaned up the r cluster then seen a s2k cluster for sale I wouldnt mind having for my s, So I put the r one off the side and fs to locals. Dont have any friends or contacts looking for one that I know of.

*shrugs shoulders* I dont know, just building it. I started out wanting just 225 hp out the hatch....
I'll guess you'll find out once its all together and tuned! You just putting the block all stock or adding some aftermarket in there?
