Even here I'd stick to it before and after the beach but that is still a clean interior. Looks like your value cover could use a fresh coat of paint

Yeah, first thing I noticed looking at the bay was the chipping valve cover. The one on my civic is a nice red with silver letters. I'll have to get brave and do this one.

Yesterday I washed, (tried clay barring) and waxed the exterior. Then I cleaned the windows, polished up the dash, and vacuumed it out. Had the head unit/sub/amp/speakers from the civic swapped in for the stock crap. I'll post more pics later when it stops raining. Always my luck that it rains after I detail :(

Umm did you do the valve cover on the last one or did you just buy it with a red engine cover?? Because either someone just painted the engine cover or your last Civic may have had a swapped engine. Did you buy the Civic back from the insurance company?

Yes I bought the civic back from State Farm. They were only going to give me an extra $379...its worth more than that to me. I personally painted the valve cover. Got some pictures of the process. The civic is an EX Vtech and the engine in it is a d16z6.

Cool. You had me thinking TREASURE when you mentioned the red valve-cover lol. I was all "Um, it could POSSIBLY be a b18c5" but that was just my imagination running wild. The z6 had 140k miles on it you said?

Leather is nice and luxury but that shit had to go in terms of seats.

Yeah, I love my Alpine. I've had it for like 6 years, but its so old it doesn't even have an auxiliary port. I was listening to Downlink-"Excision" at the time. I think this sub sounds fine. My cousin has top of the line sound equipment so I know its not up to that par, but for me it works. Its just a ten inch-MOST of what I listen to is metal, classic rock and dubstep. So besides that last genre I don't need a shit ton of bass. Even with the occasional rap and all the dubstep/industrial,though its got plenty of bass.Yes, its an automatic. I was just surprised to see a teggy for sale in my podunk ass town that wasn't either riced the hell out or supremely over-priced. I'm diggin the leather, but I may replace the seats--these are slightly cracked because the girl that owned it before me apparently didn't take care of them.
