Thanks, there are only two areas that aren't 100% in my eyes. The dude I bought it from (middle man basically-chick owned it) swapped the hood off mine with the hood off his '01 so the hood I now have is shite. It's got touch up paint all over it and overspray from above the driver headlight where it looks kinda like crinkly. LAME. Also, the roof is oxidized. I was hoping a good buff would help, but while clay barring it I noticed there is pitting in the clear coat, so I may need to have the roof & hood repainted. I live in a small town so I have no idea what that will cost me unless I have my cousin's friend do it.

usually if your clear coat is peeling, youre gonna have to repaint it. The base underneath will be bad cuz of no protection from the clear coat. I would suggest painting the hood black. i say this because if you just paint the hood., the color will not match unless you blend the color on the fenders, but its your car, so do what you please. im just stating my opinion. :)

Nice work on the headlights. You sanded it without taping off the paint? Balllllllllllllllz

Could always get a carbon fiber hood, then getting the hood paint to match will be a non-issue. Then you just need to re shoot the clear.

Nice car by the way. Coming along nicely. Kind of cool to see the diversity and different stages of modding that goes on on this forum. Anyways, keep up to good work.

Sorry I've been away for so long. Bought myself an iPhone last week and I have been glued to the damned thing. Tonight is the first time I've picked up my laptop. To answer all your questions, I used the cheapo $10 turtle wax restoration kit. I did it by hand because I do lack a buffer and the headlights are tiny. Was going to tape it off but couldn't find an appropriate tape in the junk drawer and I was too impatient to wait any longer. Didn't even hit the paint so no worries there. As far as the clear peeling goes, I kinda anticipated needing to repaint it. Upon closer inspection, I can tell the silver under the peeled parts is wicked faded. I thought about a carbon fiber or painting the hood black(more likely since I'm broke). Just not sure how it would look. Opinions? Thanks for all the compliments :)

Theres a thread either in members or build.. maybe lounge i forget but its called something like show off your silver integras. Id look through there and you might find a few with black hoods. Otherwise a more surefire bet is to look on honda-tech for a similra thread but it'll be 'post silver integras' so theyll post not only their cars but any silver ones.

OY! So. Been super agitated lately (mostly work related) and on top of it all my Teggy keeps being a buttmunch. On 11/17/12 I woke up to my passenger front tire being flat as hell. Upon closer inspection, as I took the tire off to pop on the Civic's rim and brand new Hankook, I noticed the inside of the tire was worn like CRAZY. The steel belt was exposed and actually cut me (of course lol). So I'm like alrighty then OBVIOUSLY I need an alignment. Should be simple enough, right? WRONG. Go to my appointment on the 26th(soonest the shop could get me in what with Thanksgiving). They dismount, mount and balance the Hankooks onto my stock Acura rims for me and say "we couldn't align the car. As soon as it was on the machine it said 'reboot' because your cradle may be bent." Not really understanding what that all meant I asked for clarification. Guy said "maybe you hit something, like even a pothole and bent it." I haven't hit anything, but I explained to him the car was recently purchased. He says "well they knew it when they sold it to you then. The driver front tire is further back than the passenger." Frustrated I pay for the D/M/B of the tires, thank them and head home. I call my family mechanic and explain the ordeal to him. He checks it out today and says the cradle is fine, that if anything the lower control arm on the driver front could be bent because when he measured the wheel base, it was off by like 1/2" AYE AYE AYE. So now I am awaiting the LCA and hopefully replacing that will allow the car to be aligned!! Any insight? I did a little browsing/searching here, on google, and on team integra. Found a few people saying bent LCA was more likely than a bent cradle...

Thanks guys.
