Downlike is good, so is existence and deviance(currently playing for me) ten inch is plenty big enough for our little cars but a 12 is fun just to have massage chairs.

What town?

Leather is hard to take care of but if it is it looks soo much nicer then cloth, though I do enjoy not sticking to the seat when it's hot out and I've been at the beach

Yeah, but cloth seems to look dingy no matter what. And straight from the beach, I hate how cloth seats feel. Stick to them to, but in a different way. I live in a small town in Connecticut.

I've driven across the country with the cloth, I love them personally. Leather gets pretty hot in the summer

Shit my alpine is rocking 14 years now. Yeah.. my auxilary is running through the rear. lol I lost function of my volume dial for a while having to turn it slowly or down could go up, vice versa. It works 95% now without fixing it but my lcd has gone completely kaput. Dont care for now though cus stations are preset still and i only listen to my ipod.

Mine doesn't even have a damn aux port on back. I don't know why, but it definitely blows. Of course, my iPod from 2005 seems to have shit the bed this year, so time for a new one of those. My alpine also does the volume thing, it always works, but if I spin/turn it quickly its like RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH and goes whichever way it feels like going. Recently it started pretending there is no CD inside it when there IS. That really bites, gotta keep turning it off, then on and immediately hitting eject then repeating the process over and over again until it spits it back out.

Oh i forgot about my cd issue... who uses those anyway? My skip protection blows now, if i sneeze it'll skip. It no longer ejects. It goes through the process but doesnt spit it out but i figured out that its probably off leve, gets stuckl. If yours is doing the same thing you can stick something thin in part way real quick like another disc and it might help. From the sound of it though its not the same problem cus you can eject if you reboot it real quick.

No rca inputs on the back? Must be a entry level model they just didnt include them with for cost.

There may be rca inputs, that's true. Didn't actually look. Here's a few pictures from when I waxed the teggie the other day.

Good condition fromt he looks of it. Just take care of the rust so it doesnt get worse of course.

Rather than buying a new headunit with the front auxiliary input i called alpine and asked if i could run an adapter cable to the rear input for the ipod and they told me how. Couldnt just plug it in and switch inputs as those were originally made for cd changers and other stuff probably. But they told me how to wire up the switch to turn it on. Since then ive had a jack for any 3.5mm input portable device. Movie sound through car speakers while waiting in the car? :thumbs up Im way overdue for a new headunit though.

Basically yeah if the headunit is setup like my older unit. Its possible switching to the auxiliary inputs if you have them is controlled internally on the head unit rather than wired up to a external switch like mine. Refer to your user manual or call alpine. I cant remember how its wired on the backside but its a simple 2 wire button switch that just sets the head unit to 'interrupt' which would be cd changer mode, my guess. Most likely just connecting power to a wire on the harness.
