driverside headlight is busted from what i was able to see theres no damage to core support. but if i find any damage to it i'll probably do jdm front conversion and i'll already found an airbag set so even if they total it id be able to get a rebuild title and get it to pass inspection. its got a 192,xxx miles and still runs strong and has been my dd for almost a year and i would hate to have to get rid of it. but if i have to get rid of it i would just go buy another teg probably a 4dr gsr.

I'm glad you and your gf are okay. I know how you feel about your teg, I just finished fixing my front end too after a collision. Hope to see yours back up and running soon!

not a girl lol
damn sucks that it happened on new years. good to see you and your girl are fine! i'd say just replace the parts you need since it'll be much easier on your wallet but just wait to see what your insurance says about it then move on from there

if you have just liability they wont give you anything for your car and wont take it from you so its basically like your on your own just a strike on your car and licence and sorry to hear about your car and you and your girlfriend

I was about to comment on this.. the only thing liability is for is paying for any damage you do ELSEWHERE. Your own car is all on you.

Wait and see what insurance says?

They *shouldn't* total is because it's only rather minimal (in my opinion) damage.
It's too bad insurance companies don't look at things this way. They look at the cost of parts as brand new OEM, not junkyard or CraigsList finds.

So..

2 fenders, $250 each, $500
Front bumper, $300
Front rims, $400
Left headlight, $350

Total: $1550

Parts cost more than the cost of the whole car, totalled. Just your usual insurance bulls***.

OP, what's that glass on the windshield from? I don't see any of your windows broken..

If those steel wheels got bent I would think there's a good chance some of your suspension is damaged as well, better check it out good.

here's an update on the teg. To start, today sucked, girl and I split up blah blah. I decide to spend all day at my parents house working on the teg. i got the bumper, headlights and driver side fender off and its not looking too good. radiator support is crushed in on driverside, radiator is cracked, and ps and ac lines are bent. i was able to take a few pics but theyre not the best. I plan on goin at it again tomorrow and hopefully get the radiator out and all the other broken stuff. And as of right now im going to buy a jdm front conversion, get some nice rims and lower it.
