I want to start bicycling again.
That's what I need to do, get back into that Cardio. I used to ride my bike atleast 4 or 5 times a week. We would do everything......street riding, trail riding, skate parks....etc. Sometimes going street riding for like 6 hours straight downtown covering like 50 miles

I work out mandatory 5 times a week for an hour each session for the Army. Sometimes it's twice a day too and sometimes if I'm really really bored I'll work out on the weekends too.

As for the routine, and this good for anyone wanting to shed the beer gut:

Mon, Wed & Fri - Cardio and Run days. Mon. is usually a short session of upper body workouts and then a 3-4 mile run. Friday is a little special thing we call "Five Mile Friday" I hope you can guess what that means ;) The most we've run is 7 miles but that's kinda rare. 5-6 miles is about the norm for Fridays.

Tues, Thurs & sometimes Sat. - Muscle Failure days. Do massive amounts of push-ups, sit-ups, flutter kicks, and other abdominal/upper body exercises until you physically cannot do any more, then do easier repetions of those workouts (like dropping to the knees for push-ups) until you physically cannot do any more.

I'm not what you would consider an "in shape" guy. I'm pretty skinny, but I'm very strong for my size and have no issues kicking ass when the need arises.

I need a new bike...
I mountain bike a LOT. lol, every day for like 7-8 miles, unless it's a weekend. Then I bike 4 miles to the hills, run my 8 miles loop, then bike back him 4 miles. You feel like shit after it, but you also feel amazing because of how much it'll pay off. Biking and swimming were/are my 2 physical activities...

I was an all state swimmer thru high school till my accident (cick link on first teg)

once my surgery was over, that's when I picked up biking because I couldn't go as fast swimming anymore... It's honestly heart breaking when your junior year of high school you have scouts watching you, ready to ask you to come to their school on a nice scholarship, but you fuck it before your senior year and they just watch and shake their heads....

Whatever. I've learned my lesson, started swimming again, accepted I can't be as fast as I once was, and now bike a fuck ton. lol. honestly, it's the most weight I've ever lost while biking for like 2 or 3 months. I lost a solid 40-50 pounds... (used to be a chunk. haha)
