Skunk2 pro series stage 2 cams

For a build that far out from oem specs, especialy the aggressive low cams, I'd prefer to drive as little as possible. A/f could be totally out of whack and for 500 miles? Talk about potential for ruining a fresh build.

That's retarded, 500 miles without a tune. You should be tuning it as soon as you start it up for the first time.
I seen alot of these answer and question say you should tune it asap and some say get it up to atleast 500miles first before tune. I'm sticking with the 500miles break in cuz this is not his first build and 15+ years exp.

Great and I have 15 years of fucking experience, doesn't make me a pornstar.

Like nemesis said, that build is too aggressive to drive around on untuned, your gonna either run lean and burn something up or run rich and leave shit all over your nice new parts.

My hondata s300 ecu is actually tuned for my old b20v setup. Same head but i switch the blox b cams to skunk2 pro 2 cams and was tuned for stock b20 bottom end but i now have wiseco pistons and eagle rods.

It doesn't matter, those cams are totally different and that's what your tuning for.

So you were tuned for a b20 and now you're running a 1.8? Plus you changed the cams, how many more reasons would you need to get it on a dyno.

ok bro, so are you positive that it don't need a break in on the street? I think you know you JakeSpec is, he has a race car crx he is the one that built my engine and he built alot they last more than 4 years or longer. I'm just going with what my builder wants me to do. you feel me

I'm positive that driving around untuned is not good for it.

I built my stroked/high comp b17 over 5 years ago, but who built it only goes so far, it's who takes care of it as well, and part of that is the tuning.

Thats what i thought to, i wanted to get it tuned asap but told me to get close to 500miles to break it in. I'll ask him again and see what he say, i know you are trying to help and understand and i'm so worry that something might happen to this engine as well. Right now i smell alot of gas, my FPR Gauge show it at 40psi not sure if thats good.
