Ohh ill get to see them on the drive up saturday.

^ oh f*** yea... im not at a point in life where i can burn cash yet. I would run it temporarily to see the result however and then reassess my decision.

Crimson youre getting sold on by TRS. OF COURSE they tell you to get the FXR for 55w.. they MAKE the FXR. Top tier lens? All replics made BY them. FXR = FX Replica. TSXR = TSX replica lens. But... they are good products. I had the tsxr lens, great output but i opted to switch out for e30's because it produced a more desireable color band for me.
That's why I said THEIR top tier. Lol. I know they're all replicas but my old hid kit was starting to mess up and I don't have the time to sit and research OEM projectors and what's good and not. I just shot TRS a message and they recommended the Mini H1 until I said I wanted to use 55w. They actually recommended the OEM ballasts and bulbs but I didn't have enough cash for them. They're really helpful and their stuff seems to be really reliable. I'm just lazy sometimes :p

Started cutting...wore the first cutting disc down, then the other two broke. Guess that's what I get for buying generic cutting wheels -_-

I only got this far on the first frame.

Curious, what kind of cutting wheel did you use? I bought a dremel and used the cutting discs it came with but learned that they were down too fast. Ended up at home depot and bought the black 'reinforced' cutting disc and they last way longer. Still takes a few discs to cut the projector out but after the first one or a short learning curve you learn to cut more efficiently.

I used the cheap generic ones from my local hardware store and they broke. My dad has a quick lock mandrel for his Dremel and he bought the black ones like you got with the quick lock slot on them. First one broke (the quick lock slot stripped) and I finished the cutting with the second one and still have 75% of it left.

First one's mounted and omg it's bright when it's on.

Progress!

And after it's done

I know the housings are red. Last person that had them painted their car and didn't cover the lights completely.

Awesome!!!!!

Dude, I'm going to USPS tomorrow if you're still interested.
Depending on how much my paycheck is tomorrow I still may be! Haha. I've went into super save mode. The carpet will probably be my last purchase for a while because I'm getting married on November 2nd and gotta save save save lol.

Btw that is only the first light. Haven't even cut the second one yet.

Looks like they dont stick out all that much. That yellow ring upsets the appearance. Great job finishing the work!

Thanks guys. Yeah the ring looks weird until it's lit up but holy crap it's bright white when lit. Anyway...I'm finished. They flare just ever so slightly and because they point upwards when I mounted them my halogen highs point at the ground....so I disconnected the halogens after I took the pics. My bi-xenons are bright enough lol. Picture time!

Highs/halogens

Halos ONLY (a tad ridiculous)

Road shots
Low

High

They're pretty insane...omg I love them.
