Slow&Low
It's been on my list for a long time now, It's actually 80% already sanded down I just ran out of 5k sand paper and never finished it.

I like my cannon :) It has a nice tone to it.
Wow.. pretty lengthy huh? My carbon fiber wing on my old ek hatch took forever to sand down, I can't imagine a whole hood. Exaggerating a bit right? But I really take my time on detailing.

You are only supposed to use a dab of Honda Bond or RTV at the corners where cam caps come together. You then put on a new valvecover gasket set as they are cheap and even the Fel Pro ones work fine. If the compression test came out good then the machine shop needs to pressure test the head and check the seals they installed. Next time clean the block and head thoroughly with brake cleaner and a lint free rag. Then, put in your headstuds, install the gasket with the correct side up an NO copper spray, and then put the head on. Torque down the stud nuts/washers with the supplied moly lube and correct specs in incriments. Not sure if you did or not, but never reuse stock headbolts, and ARP's are the only way to go!

I sourced the problem, My torque wrench is off 10ft lbs so when it was set at 63 it was actually at 53, I borrowed a good torque wrench and I'll be ordering new gaskets soon -____-

The copper coat didn't hold too good either but yeah, The reason it didn't leak until it was warm was because it wasn't torqued like it should be. =/

Glad you found the problem!

Just wondering, how did you find out your torque wrench was off?

Have the sheet right in front of me that came with the GSR headstuds I put in Mr.Gurley's motor. 80 ft lbs with their moly lube.

Maybe I am thinking of the Mains.. Idk. One of them. I swear it was 70 with moly lube and 80 with motor oil, but I believe you. I use the L19 Studs anyways... lol

I think some of the old boxes had that info inside them, but the new ones say highly recommended on moly lube and 80.

Broke  Having to wait for my next payday to get the new gaskets, I have the OEM's... Obviously ARP is x10000000 better but the shop I took them to had a large caliper to check them with and I don't remember the number but they were all the same length and diameter so I'll try them again, Were it someone elses car or were I making changes besides leaving it stock I'd get arp's but I'm a broke ass now and I can't keep my neighbors mustang forever.
