My LS VTEC build

With Muckman on line boring being a bad idea. A hone is fine for evening everything out, you can get up to .002 clearance and still be in spec. Before I did my last build they were all between .0016 and .0018. After the hone they were all about .002. There's no need to bore, and I can't think of any builder that would recommend that unless there was no other option.

Man you guys are absolutely right idk what i was thinking im not turning the crank so i called the guy and im sending the bearings back for std bore ty so much guys anything else you would advise?

I was going to comment about that line boring issue, but then I saw that he wants 200 hp, which made me stop taking it serious. Throw that block in the trash if you got it line bored. A ground crank is a boat anchor and line bored block would make a great coffee table, but neither will work very well as a motor. As for your set up...you will not even come close to 200 whp on a dynojet. I have my doubts it will even reach it on a super high reading dynapack. You said GSR cams? Yeah, think more like 165-170 hp with that set up listed. Even with Pro 1 cams you would be more at 185hp. What header and such?

I have too many questions about this set up, which just tells me you haven't given it much thought at all. I was confused at first, but then you stated how you are an ASE certified mechanic, and then it all made sense. Flash that fucking paper elsewhere bro. If you want our advice, we will gladly help, but don't come in here asking for advice, but then act like you know more because you took a retarded test.

All this talk about dyno this dyno that yo guy learn your crap before you come talking and you wont get shut up. And really headers.....HEADERS..... for real man thats like a fraction of the build man like i said haha learn your crap back yard mechanic

You're right. I should go learn. Let me keep my backyard ideas to myself. Make sure you make a video of that linebored motor when you start it. I am sure us backyard chumps would like to see how an ASE guy does it.

It is also best not to talk shit about "backyard mechanics", because you are the one coming to backyard mechanics for advice. Just saying.

By the way, overlooking your choice of header and exhaust can kill your 200hp goal btw, which is why I brought it up. And no way in hell you are getting 200 with GSR cams, unless you go FI.

You will need different cams to hit 200hp. And your header and exhaust will be very important. Granted I have a pretty extensive n/a build, changing my exhaust from 2.36 to 2.5 made an enormous difference.

Those 300hp builds are not Hondas and prob not 4cyls. You're in a different world.

Yea pull up a chair let figure this out lmao you guys under estimate the power of the pcm and tuning capabilities lol i understand the exhaust never once did i say i was NOT going to get 2.5 EXHAUST AND 4-1 headers ok just said its not as big of a thing as you guys make it lol and obviously you guys dont know hondas or imports to begin with ok the h series block are easily hp adders man nissans and toyotas have 4 bangers with 155-160hp STOCK lmao easily upgradible to over 200
