i actually had a laser treatment done.
www.bready2quitsmoking.comwhen i walked in there i already had in my mind that i wanted to quit. i had tried the patch and the pill before but i didn't want to make the effort on my part, which is a sincere willingness to want to stop. i was skeptable of this and really didn't believe in it, but my wife had family in new orleans that had it done and were able to quit. i actually learned alot about the addiction and habit you form. i think you get an average of 10 drags off a cig so if you smoke a pack a day thats 200 times you bring your hand up to your mouth, so that is something you have to replace. i used a bottle of water and took a drink everytime i got the urge. i also got mints (icebreakers) and chewed on them, i still do. my hardest times were after i ate and when i first woke up, thats where i had to find something else to do, i actually started eating breakfast, back to the basics. i also smoked in the car, so the first thing i did was clean it all out and get rid of the lighter. i had to develop a new pattern and someone said it on here, fill the hole left from quitting smoking. i know for me in the beginning i would go to bed early to escape cravings, but honestly it was lifted from me. i was able to claim victory over my cigarette addiction
its been 2 years and 5 months for me. if i can do it any of you guys can. check you area for one of these laser treatment centers. it was the best $250.00 i ever, ever spent. jim
