I quit cold turkey and I wouldn't say that's bad for you. You body doesn't go into shock it goes into withdraw and the positive effects of quitting outweigh the negative effects of your body going through withdraw.

I will say that the first couple days of quitting weren't bad. It was week 2 and 3 that were the worst. I do know that I have absolutely no coping skills now that I quit, my temper is 10 times worse, and I hate people 10 times more. Basically quitting made me a bigger dick then I already was. Oh well, at least I won't burn the leather.

The worst part for me is how minutes seem like hours. I've quit for several months before and the long days never stopped. It's best for me if I can sleep in and not do crap until it's out of my system which of course would never happen so I just gotta push through the super long days.

well quiting cold turkey is bad for your body because it gets used to the toxins that you get from ciggarettes and goes into "shock" from no longer getting them. For some people that haven't smoked to long it's not to bad for them. The best way I found is to gradualy stop. Say you smoke a pack a day. Cut back like 2 cigs per 2 or 3 days. So 20 your first 3 days. Then 18 or 17 your next 2 or 3 days and so on. It's gets your body used to having less and less. That's how I did it and it worked wonders. Everyones different but that is the best and healthiest way I know of. My ex is a pharmasist and knows alot about this shit and how the body works.

Ps. Sorry for spelling and grammer. I'm doing this from am iPhone and I've been drinking lol
