Not all aftermarket rods will have ARP rodbolts. I know Eagle uses them, I'm not sure about other companies like Scat, Pauter(sp?), or anyone else.oh and the rods come with arp rod bolts
CTR's should get him into the 12 range, yes.ctr pistons will get you up to 12 ish
Where in the range he gets will depend on stroke of the rods, the valve face, the head's height, etc.

well im unsure if im going to continue planning for this build for the pure and simple fact that i have been on medical leave since feb and am broke as f***

you sound like me, i got a 92 integra gs, with a spare b18a1 block to build. trust me, by the time you actually figure out what you want to do, you will have looked through all these threads enough to know exactly what you have to do to get to the goal you have. im doing an all out build on the engine with morbid amounts of boost. my point is that i have hopped back and forth on what i want to do, and now i know what i want to do and have learned from CI just how to do it. research is something that can never be over done.
