should i just build my b16 and cut the cost of getting an ls block, vtec conversion kit, specialty head gasket, and more?

i doubt any of you know but im going to get a ls block that is allready sleeved with crank and caps from courtney green the guy that tunes everyones cars out here in utah

oh im thinkin of just going boost right now
thoughts pleese

if i went boost i would have the block bored to 84mm and then go with 11:0:1 co pression keep in mind that this would be a baby ass turbo prollly a dsm bastard 20 g or an evo 3

Why the fuck would you put 11:1 comp pistons is a block meant for turbo. Even with forged pistons 9.0:1 is as high as you should go.
Also, the set ups for an Evo3 16g and a 20g are quite different. Sounds like you need to do some more research ob this before you start the build.

im most likely going to do high comp nitrous and then i could think about turbo later on down the road if im not happy with gigle gas

and i finally remembered to call my machine shop and they quoted me at 160 to ballance the rotating assembly and 120 to bore out the cyl and about 150 to install the rotating assembly so that sounds reall good to me

So..I'm puzzled. You have a block that's built for turbo now, or..you are getting one. What's the point of not going turbo? I mean, nitrous is the cheap (at first) way to get hp. It's definitely the worst. I guarantee you will have burned ring issues and/or you're going to bend, or drop valves. I've done too many nitrous set-ups. I've seen it done to the best motors. And please don't do high compression turbo. You're asking for trouble there. My GS-R (Stock pistons) blew after...5 months, or so. Good luck with your decision. Just make it the right one. You don't NEED a fast motor for the time being until you build the one you really want. you get what I'm saying? That's just addiction and not thinking right.

Why not upgrade the rods or at least the rod bolts? Are you planning on using NepTune RTP?

i am upgadeing the rods im going to buy some eagle h beam rods with arp rod bolts

and im thinking of going 9:0:1 comp and going boost but im not real good with turbos and im not sure which one i should get for my setup

also im unsure of the version of neptune but prolly the newest the guy that is going to be doing my tune is known throughout utah as the best tuner period so im sure he has the latest software

but im now also thinking of just going high compression and that is all like 12:5:1
if i choose to do that what pistons should i get

and no i dont have the block yet ive been on disabily since feb so i havent been to work since feb but i do hope to be back to work very soon or at least get another job
