guy_from_nerks 4dr build thread...the quest for 10's

WOW. This has got to be the hardest/sickest and most dedicated build i have ever had the privilege of viewing. I cant imagine the time you have spent in this thing... My Fiance' would break my cawk off if i tried ever doing something as time consuming as this LOL... Im lucky if i get to change my own oil without her gettin pissed LMAO... We also have a young baby... a 10month old little boy.... so as a father... congrats on the kiddo... he is beautiful as well.

I cant wait to see this car up and going... it is gunna be one SEXY MACHINE!

I honestly REALLY cant wait to see it after the tune... and see the DYNO test results sheet.... ~

Good luck finishing her up man... Im sure your pretty stoked that this is almost over! I bet you wont know WTF to do with all of your free time after finishing lol... I guess **DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!** :)

haha thanks man. Its far from being done, I still have all my boost parts to buy yet. I prob wont have it boosted and re-tuned til spring/summer. Even after all that I am sure i'll still find something else to do on the car as far as modding goes. I am pretty lucky cause my gf is a gearhead lol. Hell we used a d15b2 engine block for a xmas tree stand one year, idk many other girls that would allow that to happen haha.

Ha thats awesome! Well once again good luck finishing up the build. The coolest christmas tree i ever had was in college when all of our orniments were bud light cans :) And the star was a can cut out like a crown! :) Oh where did the days gowhen i could be irresponsible... sighz

8/17/10: Its alive!!! Well kind of haha. After checking the timing and valves to make sure they were in spec, I disconected my dizzy, pulled the plugs and rolled the motor over with the ignition. From the 20 seconds or so I heard it sounds healthy as all get out. My dad had his finger in the plug tubes to see how much compression it had and it was pulling his finger in and pushing it back out. He was pretty impressed with the compression the motor makes. Tomorrow I am going to come home and bolt the header back up, had to redrill and tap all the holes. Then I am going to cut and weld the exhaust up, clamp a few things up, put a OHM meter on the TPS, get that dialed in and try starting it up for a few mins to check for leaks and such and allow the rings to seat. I'll have a vid up tomorrow hopefully

damn! thats an awesome little build there (well littles an understatment) but its awesome started the build with family and friend support and halfway through you get your number one supporter your son! Keep it coming man

Yeah family has been pretty supportive, some friends have been as well. Others have been haters but they motivate me lol

Well atleast you have big dreams lol, just playing. Take your time man, look at the dates and see how long it too me to get to this point, I still have a ways to go too.




Again trying to get vid uploaded, might have to borrow someone elses digital camera but i'll post one asap
