Yeah I am gonna rock full interior, including my sons car seat lol.

Just stick with it man and 1 day it'll be what you want it to be

My sons car seat matches my interior damn near perfectly. I have thought about finding a junk teg with tan interior, taking the material off the seats and wrapping his car seat so it matches 100%. Might do that over the winter actually, my winter plans have suddenly gone from "not doing anything to the car" to "cage, more boost, traction bar, baby car seat mods lol"

9/6/11: Well I know the car had better then a 11.8 pass in it, heres why lol

I have 2158 miles on my build and the clutch has already went out on me. The car was broken in all motor with over 500 miles of driving being done with no hard shifts and absolutely no launching. The car was all motor for over 1000 miles and made well under 200hp at that time. Since then the car has mainly been on 6lbs of boost (had other issues), last sunday I went to IFO with the car being on 16lbs of boost and went 11.82, on my 2nd pass the clutch started slipping horribly in 3rd and 4th. So I called it a day as I was happy with the 11 second pass.

Flash forward to today and me and a buddy got the trans out of the car and clutch off to see what the hell went wrong. Well here is the results

Notice the pieces metal missing on the pucks. What the hell caused this? I emailed pics to Comp hoping they will warranty this out, but I have a feeling they like most companies will argue that its not their product, but rather a install/break in period error. I disagree with that as every bolt on the entire car is torqued to spec and as mentioned the car was driven easy for first 500-700 miles of life.

Has Comp helped you yet? If not by early next week, just PM me and I'll see what we can do.

No man they are giving me the run around, first they wanted pics of the clutch so I sent them those. Then they took a few days to reply, so I emailed them back asking if they had a chance to look at the pic. They replied that they needed pics of the backside of clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, so I sent them those and have yet to hear back from them.

I really appriciate that man, let me know what they have to say either way. If I can't get this covered under warranty then so be it, i'll just never buy another comp clutch

What happened with the clutch? I think I heard you mention Comp was not going to warranty the clutch. What are you running now?

Nope, Comp wouldn't cover it since it was outside the 1 year warranty. It didn't matter that I had installed it 4 months after buying it, they only cared about the point of purchase date. I am not running anything currently. The car is torn apart and just chillin lol. I am going to go twin disc this spring, but no sense in buying it right now when its cold outside and snow is gonna be flying soon.

Not sure yet to be honest, really I haven't messed with the car since I pulled the trans out in early september. Its kinda been forgotton about and replaced by me, my wife and our sons weekend travel adventures. I figure i'll get bored one day and put it back together, most likely around april

Well since the car is done for the year its already time to start planning for next year. I have been working on a list of things to buy, replace and fix already. The money pit that is this car keeps on rolling lol. I haven't really been motivated to touch the car since the clutch went out, but yesterday I did manage to get all the turbo stuff off the car and the motor is being pulled Wednesday.

Here's what I plan on doing over the winter:
Twin Disc

Short Shifter
RC Autoworks Linkage mod
Bushing kit (Hard race or Suja1)
Slicks (either MH or MT's)
Rear Skinnies w/tires
Intercooler charge pipe (coldside pipe needs replaced)
Blowoff valve (Probablly a tial 50, but have thought RFL just for s***s and giggles)
Traction bar
GE Headgasket (sending my head out to be inspected and possibly milled)
Exhaust manifold gasket
T3 flange gasket

Things I may upgrade/buy
Injectors (have been toying with idea of going to Corn)
Suspension (might go with a setup more specific for drag racing)
Cage the car (I really don't want to but pretty sure track is gonna kick me out soon as I go 11.49)

I also have a to do list that must be completed before I put the car back together:
To do:
Wire up 2nd fuel pump
Fix strut towers (cracking from the shave)
Hide fan wiring better
Send head out
Send transmission to make sure its all good to go for next year.
Send dumptube back to Go-Autoworks to be rewelded (broke)
Have turbo hotside re-coated (gonna go Black instead of silver)
Turn boost up and Tune!
