Baron bought an 899 yesterday, God it's killing me not to just go out and pick one up myself, If I did that would mean no more PC goodies, I got all the guitar stuff but even still, It would most certainly delay my big move and I can't have that. :(

Ducati makes the best looking bikes imo
I do love the panigale but I cannot say ducati as a whole is the best, It's all about innovation, I find right now that ducati makes the nicest mid range bike and Aprilia makes the nicest liter bike, Though there's no denying how nice the S-thousand hp4 carbon is.

Anyone watch the moto gp race? Last 2 laps was intense, I want another bike again so bad hahaha. I want a 07 or 06 1000rr but I been liking the newer 08-11 1000's lately, If I got one of those i'd have to get a taylormade exhaust

I watched it and Rossi didn't have the late braking skills the leader had.
Don't know if it was because of the bike or the rider's style, but Rossi had no chance of winning in my opinion.

More jetting problems....

Damn carb came with a #91 main and #32 pilot, BBK came with a #90 main. Ran fine but wouldn't idle right. Switched the pilot to a #30, everything went great for a few weeks til my head gasket went. Switched the head gasket out for a new one, ran like shit and would barely idle.... Too rich. Stayed with the 30 pilot, swapped to a 88 main, ran best when the mixture screw was at it's leanest. Threw in an 85 main, wouldn't start at the most lean setting, turned the mixture screw to almost the richest setting, started and died.

Haven't fucked with it since thwn, I'll figure it out tomorrow

I hate carbs but after you take it apart and stuff once it's simple, I can pull the carb off my dirtbike and clean it all out in like 30 minutes, unless It needs to soak overnight or something, But if it's not bad I can clean it and put it back on bike in like 30 minutes. R13 taught me alot on my bike so far. My dirtbike has been easy to work on so far.

Let's just put it like this: I've had to tear this engine down so many times that I can swap heads in about 10-15 minutes  The carb... Probably 2-3 minutes to take off, unscrew the bowl, swap jets and put back on.

Guess I can't bitch too much though, I knew absolutely fucking nothing when I bought it back in 2012  Just a massive pain to keep diving back into it when I think it's finally fixed....

I've pretty much never worked on a dirtbike besides basic spark plug, fuel, oil, etc until the ktm, Now i've swapped the piston, cleaned carb real good, wheel bearings, Next mod for it is pro circuit exhaust and muffler, than get my front forks and springs upgraded and setup for my weight. One day. Lol Got to finish my damn integra first

Damn, you guys are serious with it.

If you hand me a carb. right now, I'll look at it and be like 'WTF you want me to do with this?'...lol

Lol

When you race mx bikes you have to know your bike inside and out, Every bolt, Every clip, Pin, Nut, Screw, Chain link, Sprocket tooth, Torque spec, How many hours is on your valves, How many is on your piston/rings, Bearings.

It gets serious and it transfers over to other bikes, You'd be a amazed how much better you can ride too when you know how every little bit and bob is setup on your bike. :)

Looking back... This thread probably has the most mechanical information that any other single thread on the site
