R13 I found another bike I don't got pics to upload cause he texted me them and don't got a phone cable but it's a 2004 KTM 125SX it looks clean no decals or anything it's blank and has a ding in the exhaust on side he says it starts up first kick has title and everything. The KTM for $1000 would help me way more than the CRF250R for 2400 money wise. Do you know if KTM's are reliable or expensive on parts or anything?

Ok uploaded the pics on facebook on my phone and downloaded on my pc from there lol

Ask him about the engine, How many hours are on the top end (Around 50 then it's time for a top end) but that's only like $150 job, Then ask about the bottom end (100ish is the rebuild mark) and ask about the clutch, Make sure it's not rough or dragging and if it checks out then go for it, Or if he does like a lot of people and doesn't give you a straight answer then pass.

He also has a KX250 for sale he wants 2k for and it's clean. So obviously he should know about bikes and should be able to answer questions like that lol

Damn that thing is clean! Now I'm really worried about the engine, If everything checks out that's a hella good price.

Where were deals like this when I was looking for a bike?

Not sure lol. He posted it last night and he said there's already a few people coming to look at it this weekend. So I was like can I come look at it tomorrow around noon and he was just like yeah just text him about a hour before lol

Just got done talking to the guy on the phone. Sounded like a old guy he said he got it and the kx250 from a friend of his and it's just sitting in his shop never gets ridden and so he's selling them. He said his friend he got it from never really rode them either and he would "guess" There's about 15 hours on the bike all together. He said it basically looks brand new runs good clutch is good only thing wrong with it is a ding in the exhaust. Going to look at it in about an hour

Triple post. Picked up the bike, This thing is mean. I got to figure out how to adjust front suspension it's stiff as hell. It barely moves when I push down real hard. I got to buy a bunch of gear too. Can't go on track without boots etc all I got is a helmet

Audi R8 passed on the way there

That thing is clean AF, There's a screw on the top of the forks to adjust but it won't change much, They're probably setup for a bigger rider in which case the springs are stiff.

Took the engine out of the yz, Inspected everything, Needs crank bearings, Rod bearing and a piston kit, I'm about 78% decided I'm doing this so if I do and everything works out, It starts up and does well I'm updating the body & getting rid of those 90's abomination plastics so I'll have to track down an airbox, Gas tank, Sub frame & seat, Unfortunately ebay shit is over priced as f*** so I'll have to look else where.

Pics of parts needed for reference:

And since this is an fmx build it will look similar to this when it's finished.

That bike looks sick, So far on my list with the KTM is riding gear, boots chest protector etc, a set of tires, and get a bunch of 2 stroke oil and gear oil, and after i've got all my regular stuff so I can ride i'll work on getting a pro circuit platinum pipe since the stock one is dented pretty bad on this thing, The platinum one is same as the pro circuit works but it's plated for more durability

Exhaust guard? I'll see what I can find it actually looks interesting. Got any pics of a guard from a distance?
Dunlop MX51 I think it was has a ton of reviews on alot of websites and highest rated was probably going to get those.

Here's a bunch of random pics of the bike just because..

Nice, Skid plate might be worth investing in too. Later though lol i'm broke. Everyone told me I needed all gears to ride on the track that's close to me. But I called them and they said helmet required all others suggested so I might try out the track next week. Going to get some air filters spark plugs oil etc tomorrow from local shop called cycle gear. They're as cheap as online if not cheaper.
