I've said it before  I like rucks, It'd be cool to have one for s***s and giggles, I just think spending 4-5k+ on one is insane considering what that could get.

But we all have different preferences, I still wanna ride one though :rolf:

That's why I bought my clone  The cheapest used real Ruck at the time I bought mine was like 1800.... For a completely stock Ruckus. Even with all the shit I've done to my crappy bike, I've only got around 2100 in it including the purchase price.

Still get just as many looks/questions from people that have no idea, so fuck it

Damn we're all up late  . The one thing about rucks that I do like is how easy they turn and move. My buddy on his ruck whooped ass at racing me on my SV out of the maze of a parking lot lol! I was like WTF how did you go that fast in a parking lot?!

Guessing it had a skinny wheel in the back and sat pretty high compared to the local ones I post. They're nimble as shit until you put that fatty wheel on. The only tire choices for a 12x7/12x8 are either a golf cart tire, which can't handle for shit, or a stretched 130/140 meant for a 12x4 at the most.

So I still have shit acceleration and no top end.... I've adjusted valves, I've reset the timing, rejetted because I knew I was too lean. I'm gonna clean out my CVT tomorrow, but what else could it be? Carb diaphragm maybe? I've googled the symptoms, and it seems the same...

Also pulled off the CVT cover earlier to cut out a hole for the clutch to vent and the motor dropped off of the center stand and right on to my foot

Still has good compression. Runs great at idle and twisting the throttle a bit. Hell, I had it running in the 50s a few months ago. I'm still thinking it may be carb related. Might just have to spend another 45 on a new one.

Bigger carb? I've already got a 20mm on, stock is 18mm. The next size up is the 24mm from the 150

I'm shit with carbs honestly, I shouldn't even be trying to offer advice other than cleaning

Just bought a new diaphragm and needle. Hopefully it fixes my problem... The note in the description sounds like what's going on.

Mechanics note: If the engine is sluggish or won't allow you to run her up much past half on the throttle, and you are having difficulty getting her to full speed, look in the carburetor with the intake boot off, and see if the diaphragm is going all the way up. If it fails to do so, it is torn or leaking and you have found your problem.

So this happened:

^ The way it should've come from the factory... That weak ass regular "venting" did nothing but heat up the cover. Also cut off the rear tabs on the seat frame so they wouldn't rub any more. Both are baking in the sun now for the paint to dry

Now I gotta take off my footrest bar thing, drain/remove the tank and run to O'Reilly for a few plugs, some brake cleaner and a fuse holder for my LEDs (which hopefully come today). Then to top it all off, clean out all the gunk in the transmission.

All while I haven't gotten any sleep since Monday :rolf:

The thing I am jealous of its how simple rucks are. Just undo a few bolts and pull that bitch apart lol.

 Truth.

I didn't know s*** about working on engines, mods, fabrication or wiring before I bought the scoot. Nearly two years later and the only thing that's the same as when I bought it is most of the paint on the frame.
