I just got the downpipe today but unfortunately it is missing the flex pipe material I needed since that is where my exhaust leak is coming from. I am going to cut the flange and run a straight pipe to the cat where the flex pipe material is supposed to be. A cheap and simple fix. I took the car up into the mountains today and I could tell the rear end was acting a little weird. I wish I knew what was going on I really hope its just the rims but Im doubting it for some reason. I grounded it to the battery terminal when I checked it. I have a brand new goldtop battery on my rx7 and its at 12.7 but has been sitting in the cold for awhile.

I just got done talking to Danny from NW Classic Honda and he recommends me to get a full bushing kit and change all bushings and the movement and noise in the rear will go away. Since I know he knows a good deal about these cars Im going to accept his advice and buy a bushing kit asap. Anyone got a good site? My endlinks are holding up good from Energy Suspension but they were meant for the CRX. Anyone know where I can find a kit specifically for the G1 Integra? Or would a full bushing kit from a CRX work on the Integra? Im not sure how identical the two cars suspension and steering systems are. Any help is appreciated.

the two cars front end suspension is almost identical. I wouldnt worry about it too much. And for the bushings, I cant think of anything other then maybe amazon or Danny. Its the biggest drawback of our cars, there is some aftermarket parts, but NO replacement parts. Either have to find one at a junkyard or get in contact with someone that can get into the junkyards that have them

I remember you telling me that the suspensions were pretty much the same but I was unsure about the rear. Would do you say shouldnt worry about too much? The rear end movement? Im going to replace the tires/rims and struts as soon as I can and see if it that fixes it. If not then I guess Ill have to look around online for a full kit. He told me to get a full kit as if you can just simply find one from an online company. I wouldnt mind getting aftermarket bushings they dont have to be OEM.

Ive been reading up on the suspension on these cars and found out that any series Integra rear shocks will fit with small mods. I found a full set of KYB Excel G GR2 struts and shocks for $200 + shipping. I was thinking of buying it when I get paid. Im going to be swapping a tire over tonight or tomorrow due to a slow air leak in rear passenger.

Yeah just about any will work from the integras for the back. Little hard cause of the wheel well covers can be pain to move but still fairly simple. I Just put simple oem replacements in the back then put high pressure torsion bars on the front and lowered it about an inch and a half. Barely tell the difference and it still rides real smooth

So you only lowered the front on your Integra? I know there is an adjusting nut but I dont want to bottom out all the time. The roads around here suck, potholes everywhere.

Yeah I only lowered it maybe an inch. Not much to actually bottom out or anything but it just looks a little better. No potholes here though so it might be different if I was there. Lol

Yeah if I lowered it on stock struts in the front my front lip would be ripped off eventually from the potholes. The roads are rough here.

I was told not to go above 24.5mm on the torsion bar upgrade because its too stiff for street use and those Ground Control coilovers, theyre only available for the rear right? since the front is just a gas strut and torsion bar.

I dont notice mine being too stiff. Mine isnt 27.5 though, mine are just 25mm I think. I have mine a little soft though so it sits a little lower, which is probably why I dont notice a ride difference. And yeah the back is just regular coils and stuff, while the front is half retarded cave man crap. Lol

I guess a half of a millimeter wouldn't be enough to notice a difference. Did you have to grind the key/splines down at all to install? And where did you pick up your torsion bars from? The rear suspension is simple, I dont get why Honda decided to go with torsion bars and struts in the front and struts with springs in the rear. It just doesnt make much sense to me. I guess its a good learning experience even though Ill probably never see a suspension using torsion bars again after the Integras suspension is to where I want it. Does Cusco make upper front and rear strut bars? I seen a G1 Teg with blue strut bars but the pics were small and I couldnt tell if the stamp on the bars said Cusco or not.

I seen some smoke coming from the exhaust heat shield bolts so I need to try tightening the exhaust manifold bolts if that doesnt work Im going to need a new gasket. I dont know how I missed it but the previous owner took the bolt off the engine mount in the bottom right corner next to the exhaust manifold. Ive been driving around with that missing for almost a month. Thankfully I already threw a new bolt on there.

Wow its a good thing you found out about the mount no and not later. Lucky lucky. Ive actually seen a LOT of people that either miss or some how mess up the gasket. It seems to be one of those things that is just kind of bound to mess up the first time around. I was told to take a really small amount of oil and spread it around on one side of the gasket to help it seal better. Makes sense but I havent ever tried it.

And I dont know if I need it ground at all or if its cusco. I dont deal with my torsions cause I dont trust myself enough with them. I always just pay a buddy of mine to mess with them. And I agree, the whole torsion bars thing in the front is dumb but That was the way to get "independent" suspention back then.civics had it, crx had it, nissan hardbody had it, I beleive some of the 80's ferrari's had it back in the day
