I've had 6000k on both of my cars.

technically 4300k is the best for the most light put out.

i have had 8k in my teg for about 3 years and i have never been pulled over for them at all. they just suck in the fog and rain. i should of went for the factory color.

Im going to buy HID's after my sound system is done (bought the car w/o speakers... >.<) STILL unsure about Angel Eyes, but if i dont, i'll prob. go with Dark Blue 8000K, they sound a whole lot better then stock lights, I mean currently, my lights SUCK, prob. need new bulbs though.

I have the 6000K as well. They are bright white with a hint of blue.

The colors for temperatures are:

3000K = Yellow
4300K = Bright White
6000K = White w/ a hint of blue
8000K = Blue
10000K = Purple/Blue
12000K = Violet/Purple

Why so serious?
i have 8000k and so far i havent been harassed by the law. However other drivers will think your an asshole though since your light are so bright lol.

I think you will be safe up to 8000k in my opinion. ANything higher is just asking for it.

I've had my HIDs for two years now. I haven't been pulled over yet (Knock on wood). I feel like I'm more likely to be pulled over in my GE8 because the light scatters everywhere. Projectors > reflectors

hehe my lights scatter like mad. I feel bad for the people im driving near sometimes lol.

i think they are all technically illegal unless they come stock i have 10k in mine and i dont get bothered by the cops, but i would recommend doing a retrofit if you go a retro fit they are 100% legal, but the HID goes through a projector on the low beam in the integra so you should be okay. My brother had 10k in his civic and he always got puller over for being to bright and at that time they didnt have the bi-xenon so i would say get them
