B18b or B20...What would Jesus do?

Hey guys, so my B18a is pooched (Too much blue smoke to deal with) and I'm looking for swap optoins. Im not going to be boosting I'm just looking for a cost effective solution with maybe a small torque or horsepower gain. Dont want to be splicing wires or doing any frankenstein stuff either so my optoins seem to be a JDM B18b or a JDM b20b. What would YOU do?

You have a 90, so there will be a small amout of wiring involved.

swaping cams is not a frankenstein, even bolting up an LS head is a direct bolt up, if it flows better and the cams have better duration for top end power why wouldn't you do it.

id do a b18b over a b20 unless........ b20z < id consider that for an all motor set up

yea other b20s have no top end whatsoever, screw the little bit of extra torque you get, it's not worth it. Thats why I was saying put a b18b head on it.

I know, that was implied to ghettokracker asking about B20/Vtec.

i would go b18b if u live in cali cuz b20 are illegal.b20 vtec would be sick up u have to spend money to have it done right. other wize u got ticking time bomb on ur hands.since ur going all motor get a b20z bolt ons and a civc tranny good to go.until u upgrade ur internals.plus there dirt cheap buy two.
