I'm only 17 and I've driven since I was 14. I just maintain it and add a few extra dodads while saving up for bigger upgrades and if something serious were to happened to my car.

No disrespect but owning and driving it for "almost" one year is not that long, also a good idea is write down your overall goals.I've owned and driven the car for almost a year.

Goals like, where do I want to be in 5 years, personally, financially, education wise, and then lastly should be automotive. Without having your life in order and making sure you have the money to support it, your automotive goals won't be reached successfully.
If you decide that you want a manual car, well have fun getting this one setup, then buy the manual car and swap the motor and suspension over, you will always have a chance to learn how to pull and install and engine and get to know the car more.

I just saw a pic on Instagram of a da9 with a k series being put in it. Should be pretty sick when it's done but I don't know if there is a thread for it.Lol Yeah it's over and done I just didn't see why she had to start in it the first place, it's Okay, I'm not bashing either,it is a nice fit and I like the sound of a k20 in one of those I have seen it in a magazine and a few forums it's very clean. Don't know if she's done anything but good luck with whatever she's doing I always give props to girls who can know about a car as much as any other guy.
Back to your dilemma then Mike. With what we have told you, what are you planning to do? I mean you can still go thru with it, I actually saw a guy with 3rd Gen auto integra and said it won't be for long cause he wants it k powered, and that my friend would be worth all that work and money, I have yet to personally see a k powered da9. THAT'S SOME REAL SH*T FOR THE BOOKS. And I will Bet you any fellow on this forum or anywhere there is a Honda fanatic would love to see it driving by... Or blowing their doors off. :twisted:

I agree. Learn your car, which takes waaayyyyy longer than a year. Educate yourself, bieng on this website helps. Learn parts, much like nick is saying.
Telling somebody to learn how to drive seems condescending, IMO.

By learn how to drive, we mean it literally. Take classes at race tracks or even just track days. Driver mods are the best thing you can do to make your car fast. Like I said, we aren't calling you a bad street driver, but when it comes to performance driving you are very inexperienced, hell almost all of us are. It isn't an insult.

The first step in exceeding in the car scene, is to admit there is always something to learn and from how you have been talking, I say you have a lot to learn. I am not trying to be a dick to you. I am giving you solid advice. Also, learning about your car doesn't only mean to know what you have, its to also know what can be done to it. Have you ever pulled out your motor and opened it up? Have you stripped your entire interior? Have you even yanked your suspension before? If not then you don't know your car as well as you might think.

Learn to shift faster, learn to rev match better, learn how to take corners and carry your momentum through them. Practice practice practice. Don't be that guy that drives a fast car that can't drive. As you insist on what you can do, intake, headers, and exhaust. Get a good tune up too.I just want a faster DD. That's all.

Theres a lot more to knowing how to drive than just following the law and a lot more to know about your car and how it drives. Youre inclined to be ignorant.. youre still in that age but you dont have to be.
