no I dont post alot cause im busy doing hands on work. You know working on cars?!?!? Building fast cars and racing is what I do. Not spending years arguing with people more knowledgable than me on the internet to get 1000+ posts. I knew that a nitrous thread would end up this way. Theres just too much ignorant Prejudice out there in the wanna be tuner world filled with kids that have never really raced their cars.

It was all over the slow people comment. Just remember that tons of race cars are built to run nitrous from conception. So its not a cop out its another power adder. And it can be costly. I go through a bottle every time I go to the track and thats 30 bucks every friday night.

I would have to agree with disco. If you break it down, any kind of boost can be seen as cheating to someone without boost. You can take it further and say that someones cheating by building a vtec motor vs. someon who builds a non-vtec. You could also take it another step further with someone racing with a manual vs someone with a built automatic. Who cares what your running. If you lose to someone on No2, you lost-get over it. I hate to quote bad movies but Vin said it best, "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winnings winning." And as for the R being the almighty, it's a great motor but it can be beat. If you spend about $12,000 you can just buy one of those G sport/dart beast crate motors. They put out around 300 N/A hp. No type r is going to match it without serious building-and then it's not a type r motor anymore.

Thanks for the back up MTEG its nice to hear from more open minded racers. Im not bragging but my lsvtec will beat an R at the strip thats it. I might get beat at a road course maybe. Course id never let it happen. Id upgrade my suspension before I went to a road course. Oh and Id spray on the straightaway.

I'm thinking of adding a 30-40 shot just for the hell of it. My personal experience is that the people that make the biggest deal are the ones that got beat by someone useing it. It's just an excuse. If you got a fast car, you know it. You don't bitch about what everyone else is doing.

As for running nitrous, I'm scared I'll blow my shit up on the bottle. Im happy with my turbo and motor set up. But theres always the possibility of spraying.
As for who will beat who, a good driver in a mediocre car will do better than a shitty driver in a faster car (most of the time)
