What to do with my teg?

Thewheelwarehouse.com is the site I looked at. 89$-199$ for clean factory wheels, I like the gsr blades alright. I'm a fan of the civic type r wheel myself. I'm in the process of trading my 16's for some old school xxr 15's.

No fucks given.
How? I'm saying they look like they were made in 80s.
"Old school" implies they were actually made in the 70s/80s. XXR took over SportMax in like 2008 or 2009 and make replicas of those wheels that were made in the 70s/80s.

This is coming from somebody who was 16 not too long ago...

You're on a tight budget. The number one cost of owning an older car is when it breaks down. Buy yourself a manual (chilton, haynes, wharever) and read up on the problems that teggy's have. When it breaks fix it yourself and save major bucks. Before you modify do your preventative maintenance. What happens when you drop 700 on struts and springs and have no more cash? Then your timing belt is starting to fray at the sides! That's a pretty cheap job do DIY, but expensive at the mechanic, but wait no more cash. See what I mean here?

Now by this point say you've taken care of everything. That car runs fresh, and like it rolled off the line. It looks pretty good with some wax, but you DD it and you want more. Start with your interior. You sit in it EVERY DAY. Make that stuff comfy. You'd be surprised how fun your drive can be with a new set of speakers, a head unit, and a good song. And it'll give you a small intro to wiring and dissassembly, while being semi cheap with an INSTANT gratification. In all you're young, a 4-door ls is gonna take work to go fast, so make it look good, sound good, and fun to be in

Too right man. When i got my new Integra it ran fine. For a while atleast. Had fuel, coolant, and oil leaks. Maintenance and safety comes first for me

Do what you want with it the car belongs to you, but body kits are a waste of money lol.
Body kits are only a waste if you don't like it in the end.. who cares what anyone else thinks.

What you should do to is is keep it stock for a while. Cops already profile modified Honda's because of all the damn ricers that give Honda enthusiasts a bad image, add being 16 in a modded car.... You'll receive unwanted attention all the time.
This is a very good point.

You can download a factory service manual from http://hondahookup.com. You will need to make an account, but it's free and a much better manual then Haynes/ Chilton/ Whatever.

i wanted to paint the valve cover cause the paint was peeling but i cant seem to get it off can anyone make a tutorial?
These are the kind of things you should be looking into. Nice, cheap and easy to do yourself.

are those ebay coilovers any good? they are more affordable
If you want a cheap affordable drop you should look into Tein S-Tech's. Only about $150 for a 2" drop. Here's a picture of the drop:

Yep I'm 18 now and I've been pulled over almost 40 times. Legitimately needed to be pulled over for two. But 3 over and exhaust too low to the ground is ridiculous. You'll get profiled. The best tip I can give you is make it quiet.
40 times maaaaaaaaaaaaaaay have something to do with the driver.... but the main point here- keep it legal. Don't go for a stupid low car, or anything else that might draw attention. You don't need a 4" muffler, the closer to stock you are- the less likely you are to be pulled over for little things. A quiet Honda is rare these days.

If you are looking for a list of "Do It Yourself" kind of things, you can read up on the "How To" list.

There are plenty of easy mods you can do to your car in there. Everyone starts somewhere. Just read, read, read, read, and start modding your car how you want. If I were you- my first modification would be a CD player and some speakers. (As is always my first mod to anything I drive.)

Good luck!

If you're looking into a new header as well you can read the review thread.
www.clubintegra.com/board/showthread.php?t=55609

My exhaust had a pretty good tone- but it was not a 'bolt on' deal, it was built when I installed my turbo- so I guess my option doesn't help you much.

There are plenty of Youtube videos that have reviews of mufflers, you should try running a search for "integra catback" or something along those lines.

if im not really looking for improved performance just a nice look to replace my stock rusted out exhuast wont the cheap ebay exhaust systems and coil overs because im not looking to throw top performance parts in the car until after i graduate high school and college. These are way more affordable and don't look that bad and are fairly easy to install

Why buy s***ty, cheap aftermarket parts if you plan on replacing them with better aftermarket parts in the future? I would advise against buying things twice and doing the work twice. Plus the cheap s***ty parts can break, have fitment issues, or "look" worse then the OEM parts which have been installed for 15+ years even after 6 months.

:smackself: You've not listened to anybody in this thread.... If you're not willing to buy what's good (or at least decent) quality, then why even attempt to take up car modifying as a hobby?

You'll be highly disappointed with an eBay exhaust system, their price reflects the quality, and they sound like complete ass. The best "cheap" exhaust that's come out lately has been the Yonaka as that's a copy of the Apex-i.

eBay coilovers are a joke. Unless you're purposely trying to make your car shittier, keep your stock suspension.

Like stated before, keep it stock until you can afford good parts. My guess is, you've seen TFATF way too many times and want to fit in with people that mod their cars... With quality parts, but don't want to pay to play.

Don't completely believe the guy from SemenHole, FL. Cheap can be great but YOU MUST do the research before hand because a lot of cheap stuff is bad. Just make sure you are 100% comfortable with a purchase after doing plenty of research. You shouldn't be wondering if something will work or not, you must know before you buy.
