Hey, I'm buying rims like in the next few weeks and i need some opinions on what size i should get. I'm thinking of 18s or 17s. What do you guys think? what would you recomend? are 18s too big for an integra are they gonna slow down my car? let me know.

thanks

Personally i would not go bigger than 17. to me 18's just dont look right on an integra. most likely you will be slower with plus sized wheels because they are heavier. but if you are going more for looks then go with 17. if you are more into racing then go with 16 or 15. Also make sure that you get the correct tire size or your speedo will be off.

If you're going show, then get 'em as big as you can!!!!!!!! lol
I personally think 16s are perfect with the right drop.

stock is 14s or 15s. and thats totally wrong. if you get a tire that is similar in diameter, it wont affect anything.

id say a good size for our cars are either the 205/50/15s or 215/45/16s. if you want a meaty tire go with the 205s, and if you want a somewhat show and somewhat go wheel, go with the 215 size

well scuuuuuuse me. what i meant is, anything larger than stock size sucks (meaning 18+). so hush.

still, if you get the tire that will allow you to keep the same diameter, nothing will change, other than looks.

its just your opinion that it sucks

OMG it's a Zombie! This thread really came back from its grave.

But I guess while I'm here...
Personally, I would not get anything bigger than 16's for Civs or Tegs.

95/60/14 and 215/40/17 have the same diameter the only difference is the contact area and weight

contact area have its pro's and con's where heavier is just flat not better

long and shorth of the matter is which mater most to you. go fast or look fast

Wanna explain to me how you came to that conclusion because I beg to differ.

maybe my calculations are incorrect,

Calculating the Tire Diameter
Now that we know what these numbers mean, we can calculate the overall diameter of a tire. We multiply the tire width by the aspect ratio to get the height of the tire.

Tire height = 205 x 50 percent = 102.5 mm (4.04 in)

Then we add twice the tire height to the rim diameter.

2 x 4.04 in + 15 inches = 23.08 in (586.2 mm)
but by your theory the tires should have just about the same diameter
