Whale Penis CF Intake... Any good?

^^ its not that loud. ive been thru quite a bit of intakes in my day.
as a matter of fact, removing the lower half of the stock intake is louder than that.

actually, the sound it makes, kinda made my car sound like a cross between a soobie and an evo :shock:

kemp: i thought about putting it back on. but the surface area, being how rough it is, i dont think it would stick that well.
one of my buddy's wants to trade me his neuspeed bar for mines. should i?

The best bang for your buck would probably be an aem Sri. Just to warn ya it's super loud.

Really? I've had SRI's before and I was pretty happy. I could care less about the sound and I've never heard one that actually annoys me or makes too much sound.

I hope it merges well once I get some ITR headers, 2.5" piping, and Apexi Exhaust

CA law sucks. So I could just replace the Intake if I get reff'd.

I love the sound of it, but it's louder then my radio turned 3/4 of the way up, but then again that is at 7k rpm's. Lol

lol! i hate when fools say 'headers' on a 4-banger. its not a V-style motor. they just sound ignant when they say it that way.

fails,all lies, best bank for your buck is but a simple 3" intake on ebay, than buy BPI velocity stack with k&n filter. AEM is very popular, but not the best bang.

most intakes are the same design, key is the filter. If a intake is branded with a certain company name it cost more, for example because of the Comptech name and the history they have with Acura racing, their intakes go for around $300ish, thats their intake + icebox, is it worth the $, yes, but you could make a dyi icebox and drop in k&n filter for a lot less money and have similar results. People buy comptech for their name and the dyno results that go along with their intakes though. I'm sure if you buy the whale penis and drop in a good filter(i wouldnt trust their filters) than your be happy..

man.. super old pic. i didnt even have my radiator then..
only difference i noticed, was that the intake sound resonates like a mo-fo. it sounded like i had an exhaust at WOT.
