Leolo007, 250whp would suit me fine, i'm going to build up the engine a little later, so it can handle more and still be reliable. I like the thought of having more power, even for a DD. No one said you can't have fun with your DD. It's pretty easy to make 200+ when your running a turbo, and making more isn't hard or out of reach when you're all set up. The only things that really concern me with more power on a DD is the reliability of it goes down as the power goes up. (Unless you're building it properly.) And i'd be worried about the gas mileage. Although, I could care less because i'm used to running V8's with horrible gas mileage lol.
I guess it's kind of cheating because I have more then one car, so my DD doesn't really HAVE to be all that streetable lol.

Hmm wierd I still got 30+mpg on all turbo cars, if you don't get into boost all the time you shouldn't see gas mileage drop....300+whp and 30+mpg in my last turbo car. I have said it numerous times, boost doesn't kill motors or make them unreliable, bad tunes do. The only thing that would kill a healthy motor is detonation, not boost. Maybe you should talk to someone that has actually had a turbo car rather then someone who compares Hondas to v8's. They are totally different animals.

Hmmm weird I don't see 30mpg on my stock GSR, granted I don't drive like grandma but still a car that is tuned for turbo consumes more gas than a stock one. More power = more gas. Even simpler more oxygen = more gas period.
Anyways why are we talking about gas mileage? If your investing 3 or 4 g's or more on a turbo setup that adds no value to your car you shouldn't be that worried about gas mileage.

Really you must have something wrong cause my stock GSR got 31mpg on the highway, my built motor is getting the same ammount, maybe I have some special GSR, idk
If you stay out f boost you should get good mileage, its only when your heavy right foot presses down, that your fuel mileage will drop. Same principle applies on an all motor car. So no, adding a turbo does not decrease your fuel, hitting boost does
