I gotcha, you never know when a trans is going to let loose honestly. I've seen people online say their stock transmission with type r lsd has held for 3 years on 600whp, ive seen others say their 5k+ dollar gear set broke after a few passes on 800hp, like everything else mechanical its a crapshoot.

I have 2k in my transmission right now, so please don't act like I have skimped out, I have not skumped out on a single thing. Even 10k dollar transmissions break, so i'll take my chances on a 2k dollar one first and see how that goes.

If I were to fully build one it would have either a PPG or MFactory gear set in it, but since I actually drive my car on the street I don't really want a 1-4th gear dog box transmission. Its not like I am goign to be cruising the streets in kill mode 24/7. 700whp is just a goal that I had set when I began this build after having a few shit talkers pop up online. Most likely it will cruise around town with 450-550whp, which is more then enough.

My transmission build is pretty simple but effiecient.

Built by Mista Bone aka Tranzex aka Transbone (one of the best Honda trans builders around)
97 GSR Transmission
MFactory Helical LSD
MFactory Magnetic Drain Plug
MFactory Differential Bearings
Gear Speed Carbon Coated Synchros
Torco RTF Fluid
New OEM 3/4 Slider (synchrotech FTW)
ohhh well why didnt you say something

i did my fair share of research on transmission fluid and i ended up choosing, don't laugh, but GM Syncromesh Friction Modified, i've heard nothing but good thing everywhere, look around on google, thats one thing to hold up a transmission your need, and as for transmission they will break no matter what some just take longer to break, just spread your money around wisely, engine, trans, and suspension

Sounds like a good street build to me... B series trans are puss, with that much power you just need to get used to rebuilding it.

a GOOD CONDITION oem transmission will hold it easily, id take it to a couple tranny shops and have them check it out for you
