I took my 88 integra to PIR (Portland International Raceway) this weekend. Pulled a 16.5 as my best time WITH a bad launch. Nobody was able to launch that night cause the cleaners weren't doing their jobs very well. My 16.5 was against a 89 square back that had headers, full exhaust system, high pressure injectors, and a difference ecu.. I dont remember what one. Keep in mind that the squarebacks are almost exactly the same as the 1st gen integras.. same chasis, almost the same weight, same weight distribution, basically the same engine, and the same rated hp and torque.

So you might not want to get rid of your integra just yet. I was BONE STOCK.. Literally nothing done and I barely beat him. But just in that race. The rest of the night he was pulling 16.2 continually.. But still

Been working overtime everyday, don't plan on stoping until I got 5k in the bank. Pretty much panning on getting 90-99 integra with a vtec. We'll see what comes up by next summer, I'm in no rush. Still working on my 87 to.

Ok I know it's been some weeks but I finally got a Saturday off. I bolted up my gas tank, my new fuel pump and a new battery. So here's what happened, everything turned on properly. All dash lights, head lights and tail lights. I go to turn it over.....nothing. The motor is turning over like crazy but not fireing. So I leave the switch on check my new pump, it's not on. Trace all wires and everything is hooked up properly. Check the fuse box and.......no fuel pump relay. So 60$ later I got one and will install it tomorrow along with some pics for you guys check out.

Fuel pump relay installed, fuel pump operating correctly. Fuel filter is stopped up lol, replaced it. Noticed the firing order was off, corrected that. After all this the motor is still churning but not cranking. So I suspect the timing is off a bit or the motor is just screwed.

Check the battery too. it seems dumb but I have been in the same situation before and ended up getting new starter, and fual pump when it was just a battery without a good enough charge from it sitting so long from me working on the car. It didnt go dead, just lost the amperage to actually fire

I got it charging now, I shot some starter fluid in it and when it acting as if it was gonna crank it back fired through the throttle body.
