Sounds like something with your ignition. check your cap an rotory buttin. had a problem like this onne. only takes a little moisture to ruin one of those. even a small crack.

Alright well a couple updates as to not leave everyone in the dark. Car's been running for a while, still no reverse. That's going to change pretty soon. Checking the shaking problem and found all my tires are worn bare on the insides (camber duh haha) and I managed to crack a wheel somehow. Probably one of our very numerous potholes. So I threw those on the Civic and put the Del Sol wheels that were on it on my car. Pretty fresh tires and went and had them balanced. Surprisingly that took care of a large portion of the shaking and the car felt much better. So I'm assuming my wheels are just off balance. Also, when checking something else later today, I noticed the left, driver side anchor bolt for the upper control arm wasn't tightened all the way. Tried to tighten it and it snapped in half. Guy before put some undoubtedly cheap, ebay "camber" anchor bolts that offsets the upper control arms themselves out a little. Anyways, the piece that broke was the stud, so we went and got some matching thread bolts with washers and nuts and just left the heads on. I'll post a pic later. Little bit ghetto, but it's safe and was cheaper that buying new anchor bolts. So the car, after that, felt even better. All shaking is practically gone now. There's a tiny bit but I think it might be my driver side axle because it has two little holes in the boot and looks like it lost a lot of its grease. Since it's life-time warranty I'll be replacing that. Next on the list is trailing arm bushings and front rotors. I'm getting some shaking while braking so I'm almost positive they are warped. So overall things are getting better for the teg. Lots of little things being taken care of. I'm moving off to Auburn University next fall so the car's got to be at its best. I won't be able to fix it there since all the tools are my dad's and I won't be taking them. Luckily my apartment complex it cool with people working on their cars so that's a plus. I'll try to keep this thread a little more updated from now on. Stay tuned guys!

You cracked your Drags? I don't like the sound of that. Care to explain a little more? I was interested in picking up a set this summer but that doesn't sound very promising. Did you hit some killer potholes? Are you running 45s or 40s on your wheels?

I'm running 45's. On the inside lip of one wheel I noticed that it had a chip in it. Granted this was a while back, but I didn't see anything else wrong so I never thought much of it. Now where that is there is a hairline crack about 1/2" long. And yeah roads in Alabama typically suck and over the life of these wheels I've hit some pretty nasty holes. I believe that since a piece of the lip is missing that particular spot isn't as strong. I will take a pic if I remember and I'll post it so you can see. It's not a super nasty crack but still something that needs to be addressed.

Alrighty well finally got around to painting my moldings :D Primed, sanded, re-primed, sanded some more, then painted by the father since he knows what he's doing. Used some of the leftover paint from when the car itself was painted.

Oh and a couple randoms my dad took

Got the moldings on today. Paint turned out really nice :D and the teg looks much cleaner now. Also started fixing my reverse problem ^^

Drilled it out and we are going to get a threaded plug for it tomorrow

Yeah. That car doesn't get driven so I put my wheels on there because all my tires are worn bad, they are off balance, two are defective, and one of my wheels is cracked

Well I fixed this a couple days ago, but I'm just now getting around to posting. Drilled it out, broke all the aluminum that was in the way, then bought a drain plug the same size, cut it short, and threw some locktite on it and force-threaded it in the hole. Also here are some pics from the local Montgomery meet last night.

And the meet:

Haha yeah he's on a local forum. It's got some Suzuki motor in it. It actually used to be boosted by Go-Autoworks. It only ran like mid-ish 15's but the looks he said he got made up for it haha.
