Got my mount in and on the car. Also, started putting the suspension back together. Put a couple little things back on too. Hooked the rad hoses back up. Like I said, the little things. Here's a couple pics.
So, for my birthday, my amazing girlfriend is getting me a wink mirror. I really don't care that it's a fad, I personally think they are cool. Plus, I don't have sun visors, so it'd be nice to have something that blocks a little sun. Also getting some stickers from ihatestickers.com, should be pretty sweet.
So the guy I was trying to buy a shift linkage from flaked (no offense meant) so I looked up what I needed on oemacuraparts.com. Turns out I could get the other half of the linkage since I already have the top bar and some various bolts/washers to mount that and the new one. So today's a good day. Just need the starter now and I'm home free! Can't wait!
So, last night before I went to sleep, I found out on G2IC that the starter is the same on both autos and manuals, which I did not know. For some reason I thought they were different? Anyways, that's installed. So all I'm waiting for now is the clutch cable bracket, other half of linkage, and my various bolts/washers to come in and I'll be able to put it all together and run it! Really excited to get it done. Just got other little things like covering the extra holes inside the car and connecting the reverse/clutch engaged wires
Got the boots on my tie rods and everything back together suspension wise. Just gotta wait on my parts to come in. Hopefully I'll have this thing on the road in a week or two
Got my parts in for the linkage. All that's done. Just waiting on the flywheel/clutch cover and the clutch cable bracket and the car will be on the road! Hopefully by the latest Wednesday
Yeah I have to wait for my bandwidth on Photobucket to reset. I probably just need to make an account for just my Integra stuff, but I have no way to copy all the pics
So I finally got sick of the shitty lip that was on there and just committed. Made me a Home Depot lip, haha. Didn't turn out too bad but I have my doubts for its durability. Also, started back on the interior a little bit. Covered the holes and sealed it all up with some JB Weld. Accidentally bought steel instead of aluminum, so I gotta use some seal spray on the bottom so it doesn't rust. Here's a couple pics.
Well everyone, the time finally came. I haven't updated in a couple days, but since then I took the car on its first test run. Everything went pretty smooth. I have a couple concerns, but so far nothing incredibly serious as far as I can tell. So here's the cons:
- 3rd gear downshift crunches/grinds
- car shakes under normal acceleration around 20-40 mph (any ideas?)
- sometimes tranny crunches going in to reverse
Besides that everything is great. I need to diagnose the shaking problem so if any of you guys have any tips/advice that'd be great. So far I'm thinking I just need to get 300-500 miles on the clutch and see if it's still doing it. I think I may have gotten the flywheel dirty upon installation. Could that cause this? Thanks for all the help to everyone. Hopefully once I get my tag and insurance tomorrow I'll get some vids/pics of her.
Motors mounts are pretty much brand new too. Trust me almost everything is new on this car haha. It's got to be something either on wrong or something I forgot. I've gone over everything in m head a million times and I'm clueless. That's what makes me think either dirty flywheel/pressure plate or just need to break in the clutch. Also, if the clutch/PP are dirty will it burn off or will I have to clean it? If so is there an easy way to do it without taking all the shit back out?
