I took mine out and now I miss how clean the interior used to look. My seat will be going back in and the EM triangulation bar will be coming out.

I've been thinking about either using bedliner or plastidip to make my hatch floor black.

But, what do you do with the little bar that was under the rear seats? and the wires?
I used a textured metallic paint so I can easily do touch-ups and it's still pretty tough still. It looks lighter in the sun and darker at night.

I took the bar that was covering the wires for the fuel pump and all that, and all the wires that weren't wrapper in black, I taped up so they are all black and not that noticeable. I didn't do any wire tucking or anything so what you see if how it looks without the panels. I did take the radio and antenna out so there is some wiring that isn't there anymore.

Taking the back seats out takes maybe 30 minutes if you have no idea what you're doing, and about 5-10 any time after that. Take just the seats out, lay the carpet down so there is no metal showing and see how you like it. That's what I did, but I got a little carried away with it.

Weight reduction is the easiest way to make your car perform "better". I put quotes because you still have to factor in weight distribution and all that but oh well. It's free to do (for the most part) and it increases the power/weight ratio that we are all so interested in.

I don't know. Up to you. My motto is "every little bit helps".

Just one more question, how do you dispose of the padded patches that are all over the the floor?

dry ice and a chisel to get rid of the oem sound deadening material.

mine has had no interior for a while. i painted the rear floor a wrinkle black. didnt look too bad. but it looks better with the panels. when its gutted completely, my wife would say my car looks homeless :what:

I actually don't think he is talking about either of you, Slo teggy and myself are the only ones with pics in this thread.

Gutted car + stock front seats= fail IMO.
ya, I'm going to be getting seats soon. I'd rather put money into my engine and suspension then seats right now. Probably have them for summer.

racing seats and gutted interior with stabilizer bars and all that + bone stock engine = fail IMO

I took the seats out to see if I liked it for the weekend. I left the carpet in so it looked pretty OEM. I was going to put them back in on the Monday. That was about 2 years ago and it's only been losing stuff back there.

Now it looks like this:

I'll never put anything back in. I like it.
Looks very clean. question, how did u take the black rubber pieces out from the trunk floor?? i would like to do that myself.
