oh, i forgot to post this.. i got my voltage stabilizer in today, along with this little aluminum oil filler cap, not going to use the cap, but it will be on the car until i get my other cap i do want.

The blemishes get covered up no problem, you wont have to be worried about it

lol thanks, yeah i noticed they got covered up good. that primer helped cover them up.. the first coat of red you could still see one of the blemishes, but only when you looked at the VC a certain way, but knowing me, that bugs me when my paint job on anything is flawed. im the same way when i paint my model car bodies. like when i painted my 3rd gen integra model lol that took a couple coats lol.
your VC's look good too i might add. thats a bright green on the one cover lol like a safety green. looks cool though. i still have to paint my letters and emblem tomorrow, then monday i should be spraying the clear coat on it and be finished by tuesday, putting it back on the car, along with a new gasket and plug wires.

well, here is the black painted emblem and letters, hand painted at that. need to do one more coat on it all then touch up with some red in one spot on the emblem, then ill shoot it with clear coat first thing tomorrow!




looks like all the years of putting together and painting model cars has paid off in the end lol

dude we come from the same background lol. I just got like 5 or 6 from japan recently (i think 7). cost a fortune.

i have quite a bit of tamiya brand models.. my last one i put together was a GT-R skyline (R35). i got an Armored Core model for my bday one year.. talk about crazy, the instructions were all in Japanese, had to put it together by the pictures lol
i have a 3rd Gen integra i put together, but its a revell brand lol

it looks better in person




lol its supposed to be a Type-R, that yellow i sprayed it with looks crappy. yes, i know i forgot to paint the underside of the hood lol

R...35? 32, 33, 34... 35? I think I missed something here.

Yes, yellow spray paint is gay, too much experience, both with plastic and aluminum. Its too watery, if that makes sense

lol i thought the yellow was going to look good, but it came out looking like some mexican would do it.. total fail. the picture on the box was yellow lol

i have done way better models.. i have the ones pictured below i have done, my most recent ones include a '68 charger, a Mercedes SLR McLaren, nissan silvia, and a GT-R. here are a few older ones lol

but thats the thing, its not a skyline lol. even the G35, thats not a skyline, but its a common mistake

alright ladies and gents, here is the finished valve cover done by yours truly. first shot is with shade from me, the second shot is with the sun hitting it so. STILL wont start though..





i also bought a leakdown tester today, so ill be doing that sometime soon and ill post the results of each cylinder.. i guarantee that at least one cylinder will be bad..
