Should I buy this Turbo

I feel you. SRT-4's are quick little cars. Installing a turbo kit will even up the match and dust them. Before I bought my da9, I had a BPU MK3 supra turbo. I went against my cocky SRT-4 co-worker at work and dusted his ass on my 3rd gear. We were going about 50 mph. He wanted another rematch but from a start, not from a roll. I agreed. We both launched. He took a half car length on my 1st, but once I engaged 2nd, left him with a disorientated face to shut him up. He stop talking about beating supra turbos, but still bragged on about beating civics and gsr's.
i probably wouldnt hate them so much but it just seems like every cocky tough guy owns one
hahaha

i want to build my car with my b20b to be able to beat srt4's but idk what ima do to my b20 as
of this point i got a couple roads to go down

i was thinking get b16 tranny get internals and cams and supercharge it so its fast at low rpms?
but idk still on the fence....

I would look on a forum for a car that came stock with a turbo and buy a used one and rebuild it.

Buy the eBay kit for the intake/if piping, intercooler.

Buy a BOV of your liking

and get a tune

yeah ive heard that before useing the piping and stuff
but why not just buy a greddy or name brand turbo by itself of someone or
a website instead of rebuilding it?

most stock turbos are made by Garret and will give you a good powerband with very minimal turbo lag.

And you can pick up TWO turbos from the 300zx forum for <500 and you can get them sent to Garret and rebuilt and slight upgrade for 1800 for the pair. So you have 2 fresh turbos for <2400.

When you start talking about 2400 Just for the turbo's on a "Is this ebay kit good thread," it sort of defeats the purpose of a "budget" turbo build ;) Although we all know doing it right does not mean having a very low budget.

Uh, not really a good idea.

The factory turbo used on the Z32 Twin Turbo is a Garrett TB02/22 which is a very tiny turbo. It uses a T25 style flange with an even smaller T22 compressor housing and smaller compressor and turbine wheels than the already tiny T25. They are capable of a maximum flow rate of around 300CFM, which is the barely capable of the duties required to work all 1.5L of the 3 cylinders on the VG30DETT.

I know, but I was showing a easy/cheap route to replace the shorty ebay turbo without spending a ton of money for A turbo when you can have TWO for less :)

I wasn't sayin it would be a power beast, but it'd be over 200whp which would be a fun daily driver. There's several TTs making over 400whp on stock turbos.

Another example of a decent turbo would be the ct26 found on the jdm Toyota mr2

No its not worth it. Build a good solid turbo setup with quality parts.....such as tail, vibrant, garrett, borg warner, greddy, precsion and ect.

ebay kits arnt that bad but lik everyone says u have to watch what u do how much boost you push all that fun stuff. i have a ebay kit on my car and one thing i recomend is a aftermarket oil pressure gauge. well worth the 50 bucks. the kits arnt that bad if u dont want to push like 400 hp im push like 230 to the wheels at 10psi with a tuned ebay kit at 240,000 miles. yea you read that right. i have a new motor in it no but thats a nother story.lol

Ebay turbo kits aren't too bad. My friend has one on his da9 and it was actually very good. With the kit, he ran 14.4 1/4 mile untuned and 13.8 1/4 mile tuned. He's boosting at 9 psi. It's still in his car and he had it for 2 years without a problem yet. I was actually giggling to myself when he mentioned that it was an EBAY turbo kit... (Even as I write this, I'm still laughing about it) Such a cheap turbo set up can actually produced some hp and torque. If you wanna go cheap and produce some hp, you can go Ebay turbo kits. But have it installed PROFESSIONALLY.
That was smart...not only driving but racing on a base map. That just goes to show you the abuse these motors can take.

well i think im going to try it shouldnt hurt getting it professionally tuned and put on....

i just hate srt-4 neon faggots thinking there so tight with there americanised japanese motor layout car haha
If you're going to insult people, at least spell it correctly.

HONESTLY, the turbo will be fine, it wont last forever(there 130$...who cares?) but the engine wear will be the same as a high end brand as long as you get it tuned RIGHT. some people might look down on the idea of it, but in these times, use what works, i don't like buying shit for the name, I and a lot of people i know run ebay turbo's and they spool great, i would suggest rebuilding the internals with garret internals, the kit is only 90$. now the kit...you can use the intercooler and piping, and possibly the BOV, but the wastegate and mani have to go, get a good waste gate, and a decent manifold and your set.

a ebay turbo is grat for a DD, i Run 10psi and its FAST

yeah ive heard that before useing the piping and stuff

Greddy isn't much better than ebay, its over priced junk, you paying the extra money to own something that was in Fast and Furious.....
