I thought the instructions say to use 1/3 for the crankcase, 1/3 into the gas tank, and 1/3 intake mani or carb? Some people swear by it, some say it does more harm than good. I did it on my LS, it definitely cleaned it up a little, but I didn't notice much improvement in performance..
Just make sure you do it right. You're supposed to pour it into a vacuum line leading into the IM. One jackass poured it into his gas tank. What I did was pull the vacuum line that led to the brake booster and poured into that. The key is to pour a little at a time, but not enough to stall out the engine.

Sorry guys I guess I'm mistaken, probably thinking about something different. But yeah what ^ he said.It does a lot of good especially on older motors. It doesn't hurt anything. Some mechanic shops have a foam machine that does even better. They take off your intake pipe, hook up a hose, open the throttle body and force it through the intake manifold and combustion chamber.
You don't "pour" it at all. The motor has to be running. You disconnect your brake hose before the check valve and suck it in. You have to pour it into a shallow cup or something cuz the hose wont fit in the bottle (1/3rd of it). And you do it in waves cuz it bogs the motor each time and you don't want to stall it. Put a spark plug in your O2 sensor hole so you don't kill it. And yes, you put 1/3 in the oil and drive on it for a few minutes. But then you'll need to change the oil, filter, and spark plugs (i use an old set). The last 3rd goes in the fuel tank.
There's got to be a thousand or more threads on this on various car forums.
