i went surfing instead of going to prom. didnt have a gf and didnt want to throw down a ton of cash on someone i didnt already have a commitment to.

Alright man. heres my idea. fuck the limo because my friend has a type s and he drove it for our senior prom and i was jealous as fuck cause i didn't have my teg. any who any bitch that'd complain about that is absurd. be honest about not having money for the limo. you buy her dinner and do everything else she will forget about it.

tickets and corsace cant skip

look around for a cheaper tux or ask your dad to borrow one if he has one? prolly not. you could ask him to help you find a cheap deal. or your gf's dad could help.

as for dinner do what she wants man, its her night

afterwords. . well its all about whether you care for this chick because you should be happy no matter where you are or who your with as long as your with her. just ignore her dumbass friend. its not that long.

dont have her make all your desicions, jus say no, she'll get over it, i didnt go to my prom at all because i hated my school and it was the biggest waste of money in my opinion, peoples got tight but they got over it...if u dnt want to go then dont go thats it and thats how its going to be, thats what i said lmao.....

x2. Thay act like its a fckn wedding night for them. And she shouldn't make all the decisions on what you guys should do. Its not her birthday, so who ever said "its her night" is total bs. Its not just her night, its both of yours. It almost sounds like she's just using you with telling you to get a limo, dinner, and staying at her friends house.
Okay so...
1)Ofcourse the dinner part is pretty important, but the limo and staying at her friend's house is something that you should have a say in if you want to be the man in the relationship. Shit, she should be greatful for going to prom in a damn RSX.
2)Suck it up and tell her you don't want to go to that house and put in some loving and tell her you just want to be her:twisted:. Everyone knows what goes down after proms, lol. So make her decide if staying at her friends house is really that important.
3)Not trying to sound like a bore, but alcohol shouldn't be an important reason for not going to that house.
4)What's wrong with asking your dad for money? "In dad we trust" is always a good way to go, as long as you pay him back if you have a job, coz then that would be fckd up if you don't.
5)If she really cares about you, she shouldn't feel upset about giving up some of the things she wants to do if you're the one thats paying for everything.

All this said, make sure you think about what you're doing first, if its really worth it and just have fun. I've been in the same relationship for 2 1/2 years and its a give and take type of thing bro if you want it to work out. Damn, I felt like f'n Dr. Phil while writing this, lol.

I disagree there. I belive its the guys responsibity to pay for it.

Anyways,You knew what you were in for when you started to date her. dont bitch now because that time has come. Sure, its alot of money, but theres ways around 1/2 of that shit. Limo....get a group together. my sister did that with 4 other couples and it was only around $50 a couple. Dinner and Tux..meh, theres plenty of ways around that. But I do agree with you not wanting to stay at that girls house. I mean, if you want out of it all together, let some other dude her. otherwise suck it up, find a way for some spare cash quick and act like youre enjoying you self. Afterall....Prom is short for " Promise to give you pussy night" :lol:

if she really cares about you, shell understand that you cant pay for everything (this is assuming shes not high maintenance) ask her to pay for half so your atleast half way saved. if she dosent want to or cant just say "well babe looks like were takin the rsx to prom, going to jack in the box for dinner and im sleeping on the couch with my 40oz and a box of pizza" haha shell be ok

damm dude i hate the prom i when to mines and it was a mess but it was my bad i was dating a girl from another high school and she had a best friend in my high scholl and she whent with him and saw me there with my other girlfriend man put it this way it was a coold night.Hey bro you forgot the price for the prom pictures .Well dude i ended up going to my ladies prom also and i dint wan to go specially with her ditsy friends and there dumb ass boyfriend but i did it for her for the simple reason that its once in a lifetime thing and probably the last time shes going to seel all her dumb ass friend in one place before they all move on and do something with there lifes.

You can't break up with a girl right before prom, yes prom sucks but man up. Tell her to forget the limo, for the two proms I went to I drove me and my date. If you have dress pants just rent a jacket that will match. Dinner is something I am sure you have paid for before and its something that every guy pays for. Be a gentleman, guy as a group dont like prom but we go just to make a girl happy to have a date. Oh and on the friend thing, just go to make her happy, you can keep your distance from the friend.. I have had to do it before... just tolerate the friend... its only one night

i agree as well. im paying for my stuff, the ticket, the corsage, and dinner. and as far as the limo goes i cant get out of it... i want to take the rsx, but no... she has to go with all of her friends. so thanks a lot everybody for your response, but im pretty much just SOL... :roll:
