Received my wrist pins and rings today, I didn't get the wrist pin locks with them like I was suppose to but already emailed real street about it. Havn't ordered any bearings yet, The build is somewhat on hold, Need to put in some work on the civic for once because it's my daily and I have a brake light out and a headlight out, My 1 working headlight doesn't even work all the time, And high beams don't work at all. I think i'm going to have to replace the headlight switch on it and atleast 1 bulb because I know 1 bulb is out completely. I still have to get money to order the tools to install my piston rings.

Real street is suppose to be sending me a set of locks, Either way build is currently on hold. Just because life. I'm going to try and just keep everything the way it is but I may end of just parting out the car. Going to keep from selling stuff as much as possible but I'm stuck right now

Looking for more help from muckman or anyone who can contribute. I've got a MSD pro-billet distributor setup, All I've read online or could find from research is send it in to MSD but I would like to avoid that. Mainly because I wanted to put it together and make sure it works before I sell it. But I had it all in pieces, It's been in my closet for about a year or 2. I received it along with a bunch of other parts when I bought a car. I'm trying to put it together and after I finished trying to put it together with 0 guidance I ended up with some extra stuff. The 2 bearings are bad so i'm getting more if needed. I have no diagram of the distributor or anything that's why I need help... Here's pics of everything i'm talking about.

Here's end outcome

But here's the extra stuff I have. I know one piece goes on the end of the shaft with the pin, But really where did I miss the washers, 2 screws, and the 2 bearings.

I wish there was a diagram on msd for it or something of some sort. Muckman you're on every honda-tech thread about msd distributors so i'm hoping you can help haha.

Here's a random pic of my daily, And my brothers integra on thanksgiving day

Yes I own a MSD Pro Billet Distributor but I never took it apart. It looks like there are two key ways and two bearings that would likely go behind the input keyway. The washer also lays flat under the keyway. The rounded screw is for the plug wire retainer piece on the outside of the cap. I dont know what the cap bolt is for. Oh and the pin goes through the keyway.

I think these distributors must have this same problem often because I had my main input bearing replaced also. Which is the only reason why I know what that part is.

So I just figured something out that will take alot of guess work out on ordering bearings, I found the box with all my old bearings in it, I found 4 ACL extra clearence bearings (8 total 2 each side), I was wondering where the last 1 was. I look at my block and had the 5 lower bearings still in it from when I plastigauged. The #1 cylinder that was .0015" was a extra clearence bearing. Which that was the clearence I want so I was like i'll plastigauge all the other extra clearence ones, And boom. It was perfect. #1 #2 #4 #5 was all .0015" Exactly. Like spot on perfect. #3 cylinder was .0018. I wanted 17 but that won't make a big difference. I'm going to order a brand new set of extra clearence bearings and a lower end gasket set and assemble the short block. I'm glad I found my old bearings, I would have ended up ordering the honda bearings. This made it simple I just get 1 set of bearings the same and they're already the clearences I want.

Here's the pic from my other post awhile back with the clearences, Notice #1 was .0015". That one had a extra clearence bearing the rest of them was standard bearings...

Yeah it was 66 degrees outside today I had to do something, I'm going to change the oil in the civic later, I have a friend with a piston ring filer etc and i'm going to go over there and install the pistons sometime in the next week or 2, Ordering a cometic lower end gasket set and ACL HX bearings from clubintegra today. Than various bolts, ARP crank pulley bolt for the ATI super damper, downstar oil pump and water pump bolts. Block should be assembled and ready to go, I just got my transmission back 2 days ago from friend at T1, All that will be left is the head. Got to degree the crower stage 3's in etc

Edit: Just ordered ACL HX bearings, Cometic bottom end gasket kit, ARP Crank pulley bolt, Downstar Oil pump and Water pump bolts, That should be everything for my block finally. Time to get popeyes chicken

All the stuff I previously ordered, Cometic lower end gasket kit, ACL HX main bearings, ARP crank pulley bolt, downstar oil pump/water pump bolts (not picture), I just ordered the last 2 things, ACL Race standard rod bearings, and ACL Thrust washers, They should be in next week and than assembly begins!

Talked to the shop and they havn't even started balancing it yet, They've been backed up still (they told me that before I left it there) they just started working on a guy with work that came in 4 days before mine and one that came in a week before me, He said they'll probably start mine next week or so. Also I had downstar make me some rear main seal bolts since they don't sell them and they was basically the last bolts on my motor that was stock. Also got downstar oil pan hardware. Just ordered a painless performance 30amp fuel pump relay kit, a summit racing toggle switch, and some wiring, clevite assembly lube, along with some parts for my civics suspension, But that's everything to wire up my fuel pump with a toggle switch, Going to install a walbro 450 E85 fuel pump (Havn't ordered that yet) and going with fiveomotorsports 1600cc injectors which I havn't ordered either. But that's pretty much the only update for now

Muckman I've been debating what fuel setup to go with. I really don't want to get a fuel cell or sump my tank, I been debating whether to get the Walbro 450, Or get a full blown motorsports dual pump hanger, and run dual walbro 255. If I needed more fuel after that i'd upgrade for dual 340's which would be capable of quite a bit I think.

My last setup i've researched which will cost $1000 total. Full blown motorsports dual pump hanger, -10 feed, -8 return (That way I don't have to upgrade ever again), Another walbro 255, Which will run to my current aeromotive filter and fuel rail. So in the end I would have, Full blown dual walbro 255, -10 stainless feed line, -8 stainless return line, BDL fuel rail, fiveo 1600cc injectors, aeromotive filter inline before rail on feed, Than a aeromotive or weld-on fuel pressure regulator (Got to do more research on regulators), I think that setup would do what I need and it wouldn't break the bank as if I would have got a fuel cell, sumped the tank, etc.

The reason I was looking at the dual pump hanger over the single walbro 450, Was I would have to modify my stock hanger for the bigger feed and return lines, If I get the full blown hanger that takes the guess work and welding etc out of it. I don't have a welder and have to pay someone to do that, Buy all the fittings, etc. I think the full blown hanger is a better alternative because it comes with AN fittings already in it and I can just get 2 more fittings and install fuel lines no problems.

I have the FBM dual hanger and it was a PITA to install. I would recommend a large single intank pump. Hell I would even do an inline pump before I ever did a FBM dual pump again. Start with the Walbro 450 and keep it simple.

If you decide to run the Walbro 450 that will save you money and head ache. It will allow you to run the stock fuel pump hat. However the outlet of the stock fuel pump hat is a bottle neck so you would have to drill it out and put a bulkhead fitting on it. I believe the outlet of the Walbro 450 is 7/16" which would easily adapt to -8AN. You don't need -10. Its overkill and makes the hose and hose ends more expensive. People make 800hp+ on -8AN.

For the fittings you need adapters at the fuel rail and the fuel pump hat. Hose ends at the end of each fuel line and youll probably want to put the filter somewhere in the middle so thats another 2 hose ends.

And I don't think you need a bad ass regulator either because you don't need to run crazy fuel pressure with those large injectors. Save yourself the money and run a standard adjustable FPR (like AEM or Blox etc). You could technically get away with the stock FPR but I know you want a threaded outlet to run the AN hose.

Even the stock fuel rail is fine really. Its not a bottle neck. If you want to upgrade, any rail will do.

Another thing i've looked into on the fuel hanger, They make 12mm x 1.5 male adapters to -8an male fittings. Can I drill out the 12mm x 1.25 stock banjo bolt location to 12mm x 1.5 and than install that adapter fitting, Than run a hose end adapter onto that, Would the rubber hose off the walbro 450 tighten onto the stock rubber hose location on the inside of the hanger? Links below are the fittings.

From calculations, full blown hanger, another walbro 255, hoses, fittings, injectors, etc, totals around $1000-$1100.

Stock hanger, Retap to 12 x 1.5, -8 an hose, fittings, walbro 450, injectors. totals around $650-$700~

So 2nd way sounds way more beneficial to me. That gives me $400~ more to spend on other things, That will get my new valve seals, seats, retainers, valve spring tool, and science of speed LMA's.. After that the car should be going again. I'll be running stock cams with my SFP manifold and 60 trim turbo. while i'm driving it like that i'll be getting a twin scroll top mount, 67mm turbo, etc, Than i'll drop in my crower stage 3's, new turbo setup. and it should be where I want it after that.
