Sorry to hear about the troubles man. I also agree with everyone else on the grill being painted black. I was playing around with your car in Photoshop and added an ITR lip really quick. Forgive me if you don't like it. I'm ridiculously bored tonight and looking for stuff to shop.

Nice!! Haha I might have to order some ambers corners, lip off ebay, and paint the grille black while i'm there. Lol gotta get it running first. It's still just chillin

Anyways got a update on my turd. Put the new rod/main bearings in, new oem oil pump, all new gaskets and all new parts, everything lubed/torqued to spec. Everything as clean as possible etc. Let it warm up than continue to idle for 15 mins like suppose to. Drove it around alittle bit after. Drove perfect better than it ever has, Had 50-60 psi at 3k rpm. Than all of a sudden it won't go past about 25 oil pressure no matter what. Don't know what's wrong with it but guess i'll have to tear it apart again

What were your oil clearances on the main and rod bearings?

Rod bearings were 0.0020" (Which is fine) Main bearings were too loose, About 0.0024" Figure that's where it's losing the pressure. Going to pull the motor soon. Thinking about just swapping in a stock LS or gsr motor, Whatever I can find locally and than sell the car and keep the motor, rebuild the bottom end and stuff. than get a eg hatch shell or something. Idk there's a bunch of stuff I could do lol. Might just try to sell the car as it is but i'll definately be losing money on it but guess that's how it works

.0024" is loose but its not devestating. Im running .0018 on my mains and .0020 rods also. Oil pressure would not drop off like that from a few ten thousandths. Im thinking something loosened up like an oil squirter (or plug) or the head oil orifice. Drop the oil pan and inspect the obvious. See if theres anything foreign in the oil pan.

My brothers car had that happen before. One of the oil pick up nuts became loose. Just drop the pan and check the torque on everything.

Got started on the teg today, I guess. Pulled the motor out. I have it down to pulling the trans off the block and putting the new engine stand together. Which is where i'll continue next. All this ugly paint and stuff is going to be bye bye. Hopefully look like a whole new motor when I get done. Got some upgrades in mind this time around too. Here's come pics from today

Whenever I get the engine stand together and the trans seperated I can really get started!

Took off the clutch/flywheel and threw the motor on the engine stand, Removed the engine harness first thing and than stripped the front/back/sides. Got to start removing internals next. I'll probably start on that tomorrow. Here's pics. Also got a pic of my little parts spot in my bedroom. Stuck my new BDL fuel rail on my manifold to see what it'll look like. New Type R wing sitting there :) and a ATI super damper.

Pulled off the pulley and some other random stuff here and there.

Than removed the cam assembly

Took the head off

Those pistons are dirty T.T They use to look like forged CP's!!! What happened haha

Took off the water pump oil pan, oil screen, oil pickup, More random stuff

Now than I get to pull out the internals when I continue. Once I get the crank out I'll measure all the main and rod journals to see what's going on with it. Than I'll see what size bearings i'd need, What needs to be machined, Or whether I need a new crank.

Went outside and did alittle something, Took out the rotating assembly. Next thing to do is get the block hot tanked and checked out, Got to measure my crank journals and decide whether I want to use the one I got or get a new one after I see the results. I'm pretty sure my crank is cut about .0010" and I would like to have one that isn't cut. But who knows we will find out before too long. Here's couple pics from today.
