Test to see what your oil pressure is good. If it is, then replace the sensor.

ok mine is like his. i just got the motor back in last month after the pick-up was plugged and wiped out the bottom end. its been running fine until to day. checked the oil before i left work and it was full. half way to a birthday party the light started flashing. im getting oil up to the clyinder head. could it just be a faulty sensor?

i have the same issue. oil light flashes, sometimes its not in a pattern, sometimes the light just freaks out..or its lit REALLY dim, i doubt that oil lights would only be "half lit" if there was somethign actually wrong. check my oil level every day, its always full. however the light goes out for a day or so when i remove the dipstick and put it back in, is that just a coincidence? could there be wires touching that are causing interference behind my cluster? please help me i need this fixed asap.

The light is a simple pressure switch. Its either on or off. I believe the threshold is 5psi. If its dim then that indicates there is a wiring issue. Youll have to track down the short.

damn it i am the same way to. Oil light blinks and goes away sometime but someone in here said something about "pre-knock on morning start up" well my car does that but it goes away fast. I already replace my sensor but it still blinks on good day.

Then get a real oil pressure gauge and make sure its actually not lighting from low oil pressure.

solid oil light indicates low pressure or low oil

blinking light = sudden drop in oil pressure

dim light = wiring fault

For the DA integras this could also be false positives caused by a bad ICU
