That depends on what turbo you run, how much boost you run, etc.
Generally, if the motor is healthy, it will support 250-275whp safely provided the tune is good and you have the proper supporting mods.
 
with a 10 PSI t4 turbo? what u think needs swapped?
Which T4 btw?

10 PSI on the average t4 turbo will need forged internals, possibly sleeves. Depends on what kind of power you make. That's going to be dependent on your tune and supporting mods.

well id like to run smaller, i have this t4 left over from my eclipse i owned, gsx, it was the turbo kit on there, guy said he got from hks, id like to run smaller, not looking for massive power boost, i wanted just little more, and tune it lower setting like 8psi or lower, and use blow off vaulve for rest, what would be needed? and would it be difficult? btw i had to buy new intercooler kit, old one was for a 2.0 litre, outa my gsx.

If you really want to get into boosting a B series motor, team-integra.net has AMAZING articles on boosting. And yes, the B18A1 will hold more than the B20, because on the B20 the piston walls are one piece all the way across. The B18A1 walls are separate. And the B20 is practically a bored B18A1, so the walls are thinner on the B20

and 225whp is definitely safe on a stock B18A1 ASSUMING it's a very healthy one. You can also get a new B18A1 from the website I showed you for a little more than a B20. That's if you don't want to rebuild your old one and just get the instant satisfaction of a new motor

i have a rebuild kit imma use on my b18a1, it onl has 20k miles on it but something isnt right, idle is surging, missing sensors, and is running a little warm for my liking, not over heating but i think it should be cooler, but yes id like to boost mine, its a greddy set up, i have a smaller turbo to go on it, its the t4 but its the one from my gsx, just bought the piping down pipe header and intercooler, it was pricy, haha

If you're going with your B18A1, built, turbo'd, whatever. Run your stock ECU with a good tune.

ok im gana replace valve cover anyway, the one on it has horrable color and pain is no good on it, imma put red gloss one on, any suggestions on cams and gears i should get? also, what are thoughts on over haulin to a H22 prelude motor?
I wouldnt do a H22 swap they are heavy. Id do a vtec swap. :lol:

i have a spare vtec out of an si, but i herd there not a good boosting motor, and id need a new tranny unless the b16 trans will be good. its out my buddys totaled civic
