new with Integras need help plz

ok im gana replace valve cover anyway, the one on it has horrable color and pain is no good on it, imma put red gloss one on, any suggestions on cams and gears i should get? also, what are thoughts on over haulin to a H22 prelude motor?
After market cam gears are a waste for you at this point. They would only be for show. Adjusting the cam gears should be done as part of a tune, in conjunction with adjusting the fuel and timing maps accordingly. Not just done for the hell of it.

You can do an H22 swap. It's gonna be more in depth than just dropping a Vtec B series in there.

would i need different motor mounts?
Yes, along with different axles, ECU, wiring, etc.

Then you'll need either a cable to hydro kit to run the H series hydro trans or an H2B plate(about $1k) to mount your cable B series trans to the H motor.

H22 would be a waste. It would be too damn heavy after everything and you would loose all handling. Stick within the B series and tear ass from there.

It's really the stock motor. I assure you that the B18a1 is the stock motor for your Integra.

Try G2IC.com . Not trying to stray you away from the site, but it is 90-93 Integra specific. Hit me up on here or there. Screen name's the same

Well since you're not going to boost it seeing as you're a beginner, a good cheap replacement is a B20B. All your performance bolt ons will transfer right over because the B18A1 and B20B are practically the same motor. Did this in my DB1. Super easy swap, even for a beginner. Just takes time and being organized when you take it apart. Here's a great place to order from. Super clean, low mileage motors. This is where I got mine from.

Grab some paint remover from a parts store and strip your old valve cover. Buy any paint you want and get to working taping and cleaning any dirt/grease off. Paint it and you're good to go!

No, The H22 weighs like 16-20 pounds more then a B-series... There was a thread somewhere on hondatech where they weighed the engines. You can relocate the battery and fix the weight difference for the front.

B18A and B18A1 are the same, B16s are common swaps... You have the stock motor in your car right now. Just do either a B18C1, B16 or the B20 (it has a little more torque but other then that the same performance as the b18a1)

i know the b18a1 is stock motor, but this is not the b18 that came in it, or at least rebuilt, came with paper work, old one through a rod, this one has paper work 26k ago, which confuses me why it acts up, its really hard to start in morning, but i think i may go with the b20, sounds easy, but i i wanted to boost it whats best motor? i have the money? just what motor should i use? i have a t4/t4 kit right now
