New to forum, need to decide what year/trim level to buy

Just read this: http://www.itrsport.com/specifications.html Feel really stupid from my first post. Looks like a GSR is what I want but probably a little out of my budget. So then whats different betweeen a RS and LS? Not planning on staying stock for more than a week honestly (please don't lecture me) :) But anyways my biggest question is how big of a deal is it for what I have planned to get VTEC or a 2Door 5speed as opposed to the other options.
Vtec really isn't important as far as I know, Buy an RS! there's not that many around here.
Vtec is actually pretty important. Just ask Thadya. When I drove her car, I kept waiting for Vtec to engage, but nothing, lol.
Vtec matters, but not as much as being skilled behind the wheel. Come out to a track day with us, OP. We're going again in December to Buttonwillow. An Rs with a b18c would be outrageously dope

if you dont get a 2000 or 2001 you fail as a human being
And if I can't afford one..? Haha

Yea that's pretty much what I have in mind but Idk if I can afford a GSR and I definitely want my bearings as a road driver first. And Buttonwillow is like 5 or 6 hours if I recall correctly

...seriously? As in the suspension company? Lol Looks I will be contributing to his bills you cost him because I plan on buying from gc. Dont worry, not gonna bug for discounts.
Yes which is why I'm buying my own first car, he wants me to be responsible and basically not be a spoiled brat, I respect his decision tho because he's gunna be helping me out alot looking at cars and working on the one I choose.

Just be patient, the right car wil come around. Just fyi, an rs has no sunroof, cruise control, unpainted sidemoldings and no power windows so they usually don't look as good stock. Find a nice ls or gs. I was in the same boat as you a few years back; I really wanted a gsr but everyone of them was either beat to s***, modded or too expensive. I bought my 97 ls for 2k and it was babied by its 2 previous owners. Just keep looking around the right one will come around. The ls really isn't that bad, it can have the same opttions the gsr has minus the motor and trans and is still a fun daily. Not to mention it's a helluva lot easier to find a stock ls/gs/rs.
Yea went and looked at a 1994 4Dr 5Spd Red GS for $2800 but it had 244k miles, lots of dents and scratches, the nose had been replaced which means front-end collision and it was sitting on steelies so I think it was overpriced. Still was incredibly cool looking in person tho haha. Keeping my eye out, going to look at more tomorrow after football and Saturday.

Yeah man its the way to go. It worked for me like I said. Not that my parents own a badass suspension company lol. Sounds good though. What all do you plan on doing with the car? I know you are only 16 but I am sure you have some sort of a direction you wish to go.

Man Ive been around cars my whole life helping my dad out and going to junkyards and stuff. My brothers first car was a awesome 89 325is that he modded and tracked from day 1, I think it runs in the family. First things I think are an intake and start fixing on the body (no way I can afford a perfectly clean one). I still have to finish out the football season but after I should have enough free time to pursue my automotive interests. But we're going to playoffs so it could be longer than I presume  overall tho, this is definitely not going to be stock for long. I might do a build thread for it if this forum has a thread for that. Thanks for the overwhelming support tho guys.

I bought my 94 ls with around 160k on it, for 2400. Bone stock, 2nd owner with a newish clutch. I had been looking for a while for it, saw it on Craigslist, called him, went to the bank and went and picked it up with my mom. the "test drive" was the drive home. Would not advise that tho.

Thats cool though man. Good luck with football. I can only imagine how sick your suspension is going to be :p I am going to be jelly of it. And yeah we have build threads on this forum, the link to mine is in my sig as are most peoples. Look forward to seeing you and your integra at the track one day!

Latest deal on a 93 GSR fell through :\ I want a 3rd gen anyways :) airbags+teenage drivers=life so Im staying hopeful and keeping my eye open for any good deals. Visited Pick n pull and some Honda/Acura dismantlers (junkyards) and asked around but they were pretty rude. Probably cause they get that question from white teenagers about 5-6 times a day haha
