I have the 90-91 red and white. I like those better than the 92-93. I will put these on my car today and see what they look like and then post pics.

DA9vid, what color is your car? most case scenarios, on DA's anyway, the stock 90-91 spec tails look gorgeous. my car is a 92 but i've got tails from a 91. i did the "superclean" method. i just poured a little castrol superclean in the tails, rinsed it out with soap and water, and tada PINK LINES GONE.

i WILL however be reverting back to a set of stock 92 spec tails when i get my carbon fiber hatch. i just have to find a nice clean set. no cracks or anything.

My car is white. I have the ones with the pink lines. If I don't like these clear ones I will probably do the thing that makes the white clearer. How do you do it?

Get some castrol super clean or purple power... Use warm water straight from the tap to rinse out the tail lights (of course after you remove them and take off the wireing)... Then use warm water with the de-greaser you just purchased.

Slush it around until all pink lines are white. Then rinse out the degreaser and dry it...

Here's a outcome on a white DA i did (I did a tanish silver DB, 1 White DB, 1 White DA and my black DB).

That looks way better than stock. Let me go install my lights to see what they look like so I can do my stock ones like that. Where do you buy it at? Autozone?

you can get it at autozone, advance auto, pep boys, wal-mart. pretty much any place that has an automotive section in their store and sell automotive degreasers. you will be much happier with the red and white. but its your ride, and hope you enjoy your lights. at least it will be something different. not sure how it would look. just for some reason, i can't picture them looking very good. but we'll see. post pics when you put them on.

Well,I finally put them on and I think they look good. I will post more pics tonight when it is dark.

DA9vid: They will look much cleaner if you paint them with some nice translucent red IMO.



Each year I paint a clear set and slap them on.

Krylon Stained Glass Paint :suprise: All you need is 3 light coats of paint, then wet sand them a little (1000 grit) and add a few light coats of clear coat. IMPORTANT: let them dry for a full 48 hours before installing them.

When installing just add a bead of silicone around the backside to stop and moisture from getting in :twisted:

For the stop lights you can also paint clear bulbs and they make for some wicked red lights at night.

Let me know if you have any other questions as I've done lots of custom things to DA's over the past 11 years.

I Knew Youd Be Happier With Red And White Tails. I Think If You Do War Amps Way Though It Will Look Super Duper Clean, But If Not The Pink Be Gone Method Is The Way To Go. I Dit It On My Teg And Love Looking At Her From The Back
