Those rims are straight old school. Not quite a bad thing though
I was a DSM guy on this site.

Had a GST Spyder with a E316GT.
You still are at heart..........don't lie LOL

You know deep down you want another DSM :D

haha, you know you miss them speedin.

My buddy has a very fast wrx, and he complains about the reliability issues all the time, he said he wanted to get an evo. But he just ended up strokin a sti block to a 2.7 and keepin his wrx. I think all cars have reliability issues, it just matters how you treat them.

HAHAHAHA! Have fun buddy. Yes, it sucks balls. The front is easy. The rear is a little more hidden on the GSX. (It's easy on the GST because the tranny isn't in the way)

The two sides mounts are a PITA without a press. If you don't get them pressed out then the easiest way is to burn out the rubber and cut out the metal ring (that is pressed in the mount) with a swazall or something similar. You can hack saw it if you have patience. But then you just put a flat head or chizel on the ring and beat it out with a hammer.

Or you can pull the side mounts out and drop them off somewhere to get pressed out. The front is simple and the rear is the same, the AWD tranny is just slighty in the way lol. You might as well replace the fuel filter too while you at the rear mount if you have never done it before. It's right next to the rear mount

It's not "too" bad but it does suck, I won't lie. If you don't have a press or get them press then that's about the only (or best) way to get them out.

No, not recently. I had it dyno tuned on an 18G like 2.5 years ago to 437awhp. It was maxed out though. I have since upgraded the cams, did more porting and port matching, oversized valves, bigger cams, swain coated rod and main bearings and ARP rod and main bolts. It is self tuned from there. DSMLink has a calculation where you can enter the approximate weight of your car and it will predict your power through logging of various parameters but I haven't done it. I would guess around 475-500 with a nice torque curve. I didn't upgrade to shoot for a whole lot more of peak power but really quicker spool times and just an overall more healthy power band

I'm not much for drag racing, I like road courses :naughty:

But I do greatly appreciate the compliments. I bought the car brand new in late '98 and treated it like a king ever since. It has almost 52k miles now LOL. My GST is the same color as your car, has an EVO3 16g, 3" turbo back, intake, 1G BOV, Supra sidemount I/C, MBC, RC injectors, walbor fule pump and Greddy Emanage. I wasn't planning on modding it since it's my daily but most of those are left over parts from my GSX so I couldn't resist since they were just laying around lol. It's budget modded LOL

That thing must be a blast to drive

Very fun. The things that probably made it the most fun though was the differentials. 3 years ago I took my tax return and blew it all on 2 KAAZ differentials.........lol
